If it's any consolation the MLB has the most stadiums without a corporate sponsor name among pro sports. 10 out of 30 stadiums still have their original names, as opposed to the NFL which has 6 out of 30 and the NBA which has 2(!) out of 29. It will be a cold day in hell before Yankees Stadium or Fenway Park give up their storied names. I just really hate referring to ball parks by their sponsors. Imagine saying "I got tickets to the game at Crypto.com Arena!" and not cringing.

The lengths the establishment will go to block universal health care. I don't think Medicare For All would have passed even if Bernie won, but it would have forced every Dem in Congress to go on the record and have to explain to their constituents why they voted against it.

Why not? He is 35 and American born. Does his expulsion from Congress make him ineligible?

Trump's poll numbers rose with every indictment. Rushing to convict him during a presidential campaign is a massive blunder on par with boosting him in 2016 thinking he would be an easier opponent than the "legitimate" candidates.

If their policy allows for an employee to wear a Jordanian pin but not a Palestinian one then they will have to explicitly state why.

And he probably relies on tourists to make ends meet so he was willing to put his convictions above his own financial interests. Every public figure in the West who is unwilling to take a stand because they are afraid of losing Zionist supporters is complicit in the genocide.

Directed by Jim Jarmusch during his creative peak with a soundtrack (and cameo) from RZA, featuring Forest Whitaker waging a one man war against the mafia. Literally guaranteed to be an amazing movie.

This white lady definitely took down the "In this house, we believe:" placard from her lawn when she got home.

Some of the ones who are against him are all like: "He's so rude, he's going to ruin our country." But, then they turn around and tell me that the country has an illegal migrant problem and that we shouldn't try to take so many migrants into the country. It's almost like they want his policies but, they just don't like that he pushes them in such crass style.

Democrats in a nutshell.

Modern cars have keyless entry and push start so you can't simply make a backup key at a locksmith. They can duplicate the emergency key that serves as a backup for the door but it won't start the car because you need the code programmed in.

This is a problem.

For who? Why are they feigning concern for the solvency of China's pensions? They're just afraid it contradicts policies in the West to strip away as many years from our retirement as they can get away with.

Whatever intern came up with this deserves a raise.

This AI bubble is rapidly accelerating and it will take the entire market (and global economy) down with it. And while Sam Altman didn't singlehandedly ignite the new silicon arms race, OpenAI (and ChatGPT) did usher in the era we are now living in.

Much was said about Nvidia overtaking Microsoft today to become the world's most valuable company, but take a look at the top 3:

They are ALL beneficiaries of partnerships with OpenAI. Microsoft added a trillion dollars of market cap since partnering with them last year and Apple hit new all time highs after their announcement that ChatGPT will power "Apple Intelligence". And Nvidia? Well, they were just a $300 billion dollar video game card maker 5 years ago and now they are the biggest company on earth because their cards train AI models.

I'm just flabbergasted at how quickly and thoroughly the promises made by one small startup has become the economic backbone of the entire stock market. The bubble popping for this hype cycle will be one for the ages.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has called on the European Union to collaborate with the United States in addressing the surge of Chinese green-tech exports, warning that the influx threatens global manufacturing sectors.

Last week, the US administration announced tariffs of 25 percent on steel and aluminum, 50 percent on semiconductors, 100 percent on electric vehicles, and 50 percent on solar panels.

Speaking in Germany this Tuesday, Yellen emphasized the need for a united response to China’s manufacturing dominance to protect industries worldwide, as initially reported by FT.

“China’s industrial policy may seem remote as we sit here in this room, but if we do not respond strategically and in a united way, the viability of businesses in both our countries and around the world could be at risk,” Yellen told FT at the Frankfurt School.

In a speech on Tuesday, Yellen defended the Biden administration’s tariff hikes including a 400 percent increase on China electric vehicles. “The tariff increases are strategic and targeted steps,” she stated. This follows the White House’s tariff adjustments aimed at safeguarding U.S. industry, especially in key electoral states.

In a post on the social media platform X, Joe Biden said that “China is determined to dominate these industries” while enhancing that he is “determined to ensure America leads the world in them”.

Clearly Hamas is the very caricature of evil so anything less than sadistic violence must be done for propaganda purposes

It seems like everyone just accepted the idea that the barbarous hordes from Gaza must obviously be raping any Israeli girl they could get their hands on, repeating those claims as if it were accepted fact. But it never made sense to me- not because such acts are beneath them, but due to the time and logistical constraints they were under during their limited time beyond the Gaza borders. But it seems like everyone, including every media outlet, wouldn't stop adding the accusations of rapes to the list of horrors Israelis faced that day.

That said, I am under no delusion that the hostages, once secured and taken to their base, are not at risk of being sexually assaulted. But nearly every interview I've seen with family members of (female) hostages seems to be highly concerned with rape as a likely outcome as if this is a common practice among Palestinians. I've seen many of them repeating that "Hamas is ISIS" and let their imaginations run wild with the worst possible scenarios.

But based on the hostages who have been released so far, we can at least say they were treated FAR, FAR better than the captives under US detainment in Abu Grahib or Guantanamo Bay.
