This became a thing in Trump's first term. Passed Congress hidden in the defense Bill of 2019. Everyone was busy reporting on the bill also banning Huawei products.

It usually takes 20 years to reach this rank. Not only are they skipping basic and fitness, they could at least take the mandatory 4 week new officers course, right? Hah, no.

But see, you forgot to spend a billion dollars marketing it. That was where you messed up.

Even funnier, I told my kids it was the most expensive video game and they said, "oh because of Chris Pratt?"

Apparently the ads all featured Chris Pratt.

My question is because the news is consistently reporting on people who are following the process being detained. And your feeling doesn't even match the fake claim, which is that they're "going after criminals." Which the numbers show they aren't. So I'm really wondering if they're going after low hanging fruit since the reality is that Trump is actually deporting roughly the same amount of people Biden did.

Most recent in my state was a business owner who had been here for decades but only just now started the immigration process under Biden just got taken. They cited a DUI, but the county DA said there's no record of that.

Sorry to make this seem even worse, this isn't even what you think it is. Not a Niantic gps game.

It's literally like any other mobile board game. You hit the dice roll button and the piece bounces around the board and your cash goes up. That's about it. It's interactive because sometimes where you land takes money away from other players (those you have friended or randos)

There is nothing novel here.

source: my children forced me to play with them when it was super trendy. All of their friends (and their friends parents) were playing. So. Many. Popups. It was CONSTANTLY trying to get you to spend. We did not, but know people who poured money in to keep the dice rolling

edit: also thank you for this, I always like my kids to be aware of why they or their friends are doing something. They're hyper aware of trends and marketing (but also don't want to be left behind when their friends are doing something new).

I live in a pretty progressive place (for the US anyway) and I was so blown away with how popular the "get everything back to normal" push was by a lot of people.

In this case, someone would have to sue or otherwise intervene. But that action is radically unpopular. Nobody wants to be that guy.

I know, Smart Fix updated their sign!

Oh, now I kinda want to see it redone with 'valued'. Or 'precious'. Important has too many syllables.

But they (I'm the military) face being shunned by peers and for advancement at the least, and harassed and abused a possibility, and essentially "pushed" out.

I'm curious to know if he had applied for refugee status or was in the process somehow. It feels like they're going after people who are trying to follow the process.
