Tangently...you read one gay rights article and suddenly your ad feed is filled with hot single dads in my area...
Bonehead
To be fair, that mug shot was going to be printed on Tshirts and sold for millions to both sides of the spectrum regardless of who was selling it. It somehow really is an awesome mugshot.
I think you misread the title...
It's going to be real interesting once we finally colonize Mars...
It's ok to be a freak. It's not ok to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. We like the weirdos for the colourfulness they bring to our lives. No one likes an asshole.
Keep Lemmy weird. Don't be an asshole. Live by these rules and this place will always be great.
Instead, they repromote Paris, and when Kim asks why he didn't see a little box on his desk this morning everyone promptly ignores him.
I've seen this before....its a wet bathroom, which means it's water sealed with sealed electrical outlets and extra drainage. You can take a hose to the entire bathroom to clean it. That's why there's no shower curtain, since it isn't needed. It's kinda overboard, but people with money seem to like them.
This gives me flashbacks to my time in Support. And reminds me of why I never want to go back.
He eventually became chief engineer when Burnham was made captain. He started out just as a regular crew member. None of the main cast were in special positions at the beginning. That was one of the main complaints, because we never learn much about the bridge officers.
He was just a mycology engineer, not the chief engineer. I honestly can't remember if we ever see main engineering on Discovery. They mostly work in the Spore Drive engine room. But that was Discovery's schtick, that it wasn't the "main" crew that were the stars originally.
Considering the last weird argument I somehow stumbled into on lemmy.world, I completely agree. Things go off the rails far too fast over there.
It's a little more complicated than that. Carrey was negotiating for Dumb and Dumber when Ace Ventura hit the box office. By the time the negotiations ended, there wasn't much money left for other actors. But that one movie was really all that he was known for at the time. So it was still a huge risk for a potential flash in the pan.
Daniels wanted to expand his career into comedy, but the producers didn't want him since he wasn't known for comedy. He had done a lot of movies by that point though and was well known, just not for comedy. So they threw him a lowball number to get rid of him. He wasn't suppose to take it.
It was all just really wild timing on Carrey's part and priorities not focused on money on Daniels' part.
