I don't know why, but this reminds me of my favorite Hank Hill quote: "Why would anybody want to do drugs when you can just mow a lawn?"
Once you pop... that's great!
I also have an unfinished basement that I'm working on sealing. Generally the dust comes from the unsealed concrete. Assuming your unfinished basement actually has concrete walls and floor, you can do the same to prevent the dust in the first place. They sell concrete sealer at hardware stores and you can have them color it to your liking as well. Just need to wash the floor and walls first, then paint it with a couple coats depending on the brand of paint. Aside from that, if you don't want to seal the basement, you'll just want to create a walled off area using sheets or plastic or similar that will prevent dust from getting into the area and then using an air purifier like you mentioned. This is really only good as a temporary solution, but it could work fine for a quick fix while you figure out your basement situation.
I had a boss once that lived across the street from the office. I lived in the south suburbs where snow would blow from cornfields onto roads and create massive snow drifts that had to be cleared. A blizzard hit and I brought my computer home just in case I couldn't exit the neighborhood. Sure enough, massive snow drifts piled up. I told him I was unable to come in, but I'd be happy to work from home that day. No dice. He was able to come in just fine. I had to walk out to the main street and take a pic of the massive snow mound in the road before he begrudgingly let me work from home. I'm happy to say I have a better boss these days.
The only safe way to can mods is by using a pressure cooker which will allow the jars to reach a high enough temperature for safe canning. Do not attempt to water bath can a mod.
You know, I'm not sure. I feel like every time I post a link to a community, they change the way you're supposed to do it. Here's the whole URL if that helps at all 🤷 https://midwest.social/c/succulents
My issue is that I'm trying to use an image website to help alleviate the load on my instance. But for whatever reason the preview only seems to load if an image has been uploaded directly to the instance. Has anyone used a site that doesn't have this issue?
Oh shit. I think this is my favorite one so far. An excellent start to the long weekend 👌
That will be ok
Those are so adorable! Such teeny little guys! I can't wait to see them long and dangly in all their future glory! Side note, feel free to join us at succulents@midwest.social. they'd love your wee little seedlings.
Are we witnessing the rebirth of the motivational poster? I need more!
Wow that's a nice haul! I keep seeing people post their new additions and I'm having to reduce mine to fit in my new house with sparse windows. I'm definitely jealous! Do you typically put yours under lamps for the winter or do you live somewhere that you get enough light year round?
