it IS bullshit. nothing has happened. everything they say is bullshit until they actually do it. reporting on their bullshit has always been bad, but the last few weeks of this ""feud"" in particular have been a special blend of it

I want politics in my feed, though, just specifically not these two doing nothing! I have no idea how a filter like that would even be implemented (other than people just not posting them, lol) but I mean mahgawd.

Like, I thought about trying to filter out certain bluster-y keywords like "threatens, blasts, tweets, on X" but there are a lot of situations where even a statement can have consequences. I wanna know when minorities get blamed for insane bullshit again, or when nuclear war gets threatened again, or when someone is calling for peace talks again. Tariffs getting delayed for the 80th time is still gonna affect how things are getting priced.

But this nonsense where Trump say Musk bad, Musk say Trump bad, while neither of them have taken any actions against each other? No funding cuts to Musk companies, no investigations, no arrests. No specific opposition candidates being funded (if this even happens it'll still be a Republican), no DOGE backpedaling, no changes to Twitter, no re-banning Trump. just fucking god why who the fuck cares about any of the shit theyve said about each other over the last, what? 3 weeks???

... it continues to be all bluster. I swear we're gonna get reports on the absolute nothing stories of these two talking shit until the end of time. God I wish I could somehow filter out these posts until something actually happens

discouraging people from calling help when they need it

This is literally why they're doing it. Government makes simply existing illegal for a huge class of workers so companies abuse them as much as they want while they're too scared to call for help, no matter how bad it gets. Bonus points if the general population hates them too so even publicity doesn't matter. (Hey, totally unrelated, isn't it great how convicts are so heavily vilified for life?) I know the phrase is way overused, but The Cruelty Is The Point isn't (only) about how psycho some of these people are, it points to how they'll do anything for money.

In the end, though, this a great way for gangs gain power. People aren't going to stop calling for help, they're going to stop calling the police for help. I guess the party of law and order would love a good crime wave.

For sure, but the argument being made here isn't that Medvedev is speaking truth, but that he can be referred to with "Russia says." Which, yeah, he's a mouthpiece for the Russian government, so that checks out, accuracy of the statement notwithstanding.

He won't even need to bother, we're gonna contaminate everything thoroughly enough to last at least the next 10,000 years

History just doesn't matter lol, people believe what they want. I still see people spouting lines about how many people Obama killed with drone strikes (which, let me be clear, he did get a lot of innocent people killed), but halfway through Trump's first term the number of strikes had already surpassed Obama's full tenure. Then Trump's administration stopped keeping the tally at all, aka "removing all pretense of public accountability."

Yet somehow I never see people shitting on Trump for that, only Obama.

And the tree in the top right is the exact same color as the clouds, and she only has 4 fingers on her left hand, and the reflection patterns in her eyes are suspiciously distinct from each other. I'm definitely leaning towards this being generated

This is kinda where I'm at. So far it's been a lot of hot air, like always, but no one's been arrested or had their subsidies cut yet.

Tap for spoilerI made a comment less than a day before the current drama saying all they ever do is talk shit, so hopefully now that I'm posting this they'll have a real falling out
