So, I’m not going to defend a show I haven’t seen, but I would just like to point out that this is exactly what Peter Jackson did with Aragorn and the entire beginning of Fellowship. He had to change the events and motivations to better suit the overall story and pace.

Very good point. Book and Movie Aragorn have very different arcs.

First time I hear about this, I'll have a look

It can be a starter, as other people interested in such projects might have questions to ask to OP, or people who worked on similar initiatives might have insights of anecdotes to share.

If you want, feel free to post it here. I'm a mod here (with my other account), so no worries!

No worries, as we always say, there's a difference between being a Lemmy member with a side project, or a project leader with a Lemmy account. Yours looks very nice, we could maybe bring it more visibility in a dedicated thread!

Seems to have fixed some of the federation issues (some instances still experience some, but that probably needs to be investigated by the local admins)

Reading stories regularly strengthens social-cognitive skills—such as empathy—in both children and adults. And this, in turn, ensures that we can empathize with characters more effectively and more quickly when we are reading. This is the subject of linguist Lynn Eekhof's Ph.D., which she will receive at Radboud University on 15 January. "I think we need to capitalize more on the wonder of what stories do, rather than merely seeing reading as a practical skill."

10 years after Zod's snapped neck, Martha, "some kinda Suicide Squad", CGI moustache, rennouncing your wish, the hiearchy of power changing, and Speed Force PS1 graphics, the DC Extended Universe finally comes to a close. And it ends the same way it started - with a Rotten score.

Looking back at all this wasted potential, what would you have done differently with the DCEU, and what are your hopes for James Gunn's DC Universe?
