VFX breakdown that was released recently by ILM for Mission Impossible?

Interesting, I think the video in the OP quotes it, I remember seeing the ILM logo at some point, must be that!

Indeed, but I didn't really know what to call this. "First picture" seemed like a weird category, and Teasers are short trailers.

I never played the originals, how were they?

I think it's on purpose.

This might be slightly better, but only a tiny bit

Good opportunity to jump ships and see how it is elsewhere!

Is there still a need now that version 19.X allow subscriptions export and import?

Very interesting commentary, well sourced and documented. This person clearly knows what he's talking about. The Top Gun example is very detailed and illustrates well the thesis that CGI and practical work hand-in-hand.

The article chooses to take a metric that you usually do not see much: GDP per employee and per hours worked, at purchasing power standards

When I was a teenager, I used to volunteer for the local library. It was a nice way to spend some time, discuss with the regulars about their latest readings, and feel useful to the local community.

What are your experiences?

Asking because I'm currently in a pretty happy position. Work is chill, colleagues are nice, full remote, pay is quite good. I've been here for one year and a half, and I could see myself staying here almost long term. My practice lead has been here for more then 10 years, he still seems pretty happy.

I know that goes against the usual consensus of moving every 3-5 years, so I wanted to see what you think about this.

Northeastern researchers say that when confronted with “fake news,” Republicans and younger people are more likely to say they believe the false headlines than Democrats and older people.

But across the board, participants who were incorrect about news headlines being true or false had an inkling they were wrong, lead author and Northeastern professor Briony-Swire Thompson says.

The study was published in the journal Nature Communications Psychology and goes against the idea that individuals who endorse misinformation strongly believe it to be true, she says.

“When people take false information to be true, they are aware that they could well be wrong,” says Swire-Thompson, a political science and psychology professor who directs the Psychology of Misinformation Lab and faculty at the Network Science Institute.
