Thanks, you too!

I prefer the default Lemmy UI to Photon, but to each their own!

Other web clients: https://lemmyapps.netlify.app

Alexandrite and Quibbler are also good ones

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I haven't been there in a while

I guess if you’re still happy with Reddit you’re happy with a lot of crap.

Yes, that's probably it

I deleted that comment after I noticed I wasn't replying to the correct person. Seems like delete actions are not properly federated

I'm pretty sure those two are fine without downvotes, if that can help

I commented below about the potential revamp.

Personally, I prefer the current UI to Photon, so it's probably a question of preference.

For example, Threads supports audio posts, a feature not currently supported within ActivityPub, so Meta is experimenting with “federating” a text transcription of the original post instead of the audio version.

Here we go

I agree that the default frontend can be improved, but there is only so much work the devs can do at the same time. There were rumours about a new frontend at some point, let's see how it goes.

Peckham Rock, essentially a lump of concrete showing a supposed prehistoric figure pushing a shopping trolley, was smuggled into the venue in 2005. It stayed for three days before staff realised it didn't belong there.

Banksy has now loaned the work back to the museum for an exhibition curated by Ian Hislop.

The Private Eye editor and Have I Got News for You panellist has chosen more than 100 objects for a show opening in September titled I Object: Ian Hislop's Search for Dissent.

Just another reason I love Ian Hislop.

Hello everyone,

Languages are a topic I like talking about, and I guess they always play a main role in dynamics across the European countries. I know that nowadays English is more or less the lingua franca, but I can't help but think that we could have other auxiliary languages among languages from the same family.

A good example is Interlingua (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlingua), which is very easy to understand for Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Romanian and Catalan speakers. It will probably always stay a niche project known by a bunch of enthusiasts, but I can't help but imagine what would change if those countries had a common language that could easily by used by all of their people (English is not that straightforward, especially for older people).

Site of the project: http://www.interlingua.com/

That also makes me ask which languages we could use here. Could be fun to try to have a day without English, and see the chaos that would ensue
