Here in Spain most shops and services are closed, so it's definitely family time.

Some people might go to church too, but that's mostly older people

That's amazing

Hello,

Sounds promising, but be ready to get criticised for choosing Discord

Hello,

Interesting, I didn't know about the UI performance issues, but I definitely felt it recently

Alternative front ends interfaces, the links are in the sidebar

Interesting case, I never had this issue unfortunately

In simple terms the idea starts from a common praise of the fediverse … that it enables posting between Twitter and Reddit and that it is open. Well, how about we build Reddit and Twitter clones just with FOSS, open APIs and cross posting features?

Isn't that opening the door for future enshittification? Like as soon as Lemmy/Mastodon reach 100k users, a big corporation buys the only instances (as there is no federation in this scenario) to the admins, and turn it into a corporate product? What's preventing that without federation?

Lots of angry comments in the post announcing Sublinks in this community, mostly criticizing Java choice

Just had errors for the last minute, is it happening to other people too?

Normal reddit works fine.

Update: Normal reddit has issues loading the front page, but subreddits open normally

Hello everyone,

Following my last post here (https://feddit.de/post/8157862), I start the discussion about a laid-back community for Europeans on lemm.ee (it's a large server, well managed, and with a European domain name).

The idea would be to have an alternative community to !europe@feddit.de, which seems to be quite focused on news and politics.

We can change most of the things in the future, but one thing will be set in stone: the name!

What do you think it should be? I'll add a few suggestions in the comments, feel free to upvote and suggest your own if you have any!
