How come if my dog is sick and I take him to get put out of his misery its ok? On a human its not? How come human laws don't apply to animals? I think of our dog as family and he's one of us? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Because the foundation of everything related to legal framework we built, is human exceptionalism. And human exceptionalism has foundation in darwinian natural selection.

by hearing him talk I have become informed about him.
using this information I built an informed opinion that some of his takes are correct, some are retarded, but most of them are fun.
