Great write up! There were a small number of items in the descriptions that I didn't know what they were, for example RNG and Eurojank

And you listen to them to figure out what's correct and what isn't?

I don't know who gave you that idea, but it's incorrect

Average has a definition of being the mean, median, or mode, BUT it also has a definition that it is a synonym for the mean.

To me it sounded like the main distinction they were trying to make was a dedicated fingerprint reader button rather than an in-screen finger print reader. This is a common preference because the hardware scanner you can activate by touch without working about proper placement, whereas the in-screen readers you have to look at the screen and carefully put your finger just in the on-screen circle showing where you have to precisely place your finger

I would use it for storage of things you almost never need to get to, and just pull the range out on the once-a-year occasion when you need to get something that's in there.

I could never get into Voyager, everyone is so unenjoyable to watch. Janeway is gruff and gravel throated, nelix is annoying, the Vulcan is portrayed as so ultra Vulcan that he's boring, the holographic doctor is like the 1950's idea of what a robot would be like, etc

Your last sentence scuttled the point of your first two sentences.

It's not just targeted at that group, it's supposedly meant only for that group to be able to participate, so it should be set to private in the community settings. Being set to public is for a community that everyone in the public can participate in, while being set to private is for a community that only some people can participate in.

Or you could just read and respect the community rules.

Or that forum can just respect the guidelines of Lemmy private/public settings.

And I'm no more worked up about this than you are.

Why? Don't get me wrong, i find Sandler movies amusing generally, but I'd never be like "Dude! The new Sandler movie is out! We gotta see it ASAP!"
