It’s not the 80s any more. China has the largest middle class in the world, bigger than the population of most countries. 40% of the vehicles in service there are already electric. In the cities I visited it’s closer to 80%. Chinese shopping malls are filled with name brand western products and always busy. You’re either ignorant of the modern reality of China, or just a liar.

Chinese EV companies are rather profitable, with BYD making billions of yuan profit last year. On the other hand, Rivian is losing, what was it, just about $40,000 per car?

I think as action romps uncharted is way better than the new tomb raider trilogy, but there was a charm to the tomb raider games. The first two were great, but they kept adding more and more junk to each one as they went. So by three, you had a gorgeous game, that I just can’t bring myself to get through because it’s overdone and, frankly, boring. I had a lot more issues with 3, but I’ll leave it at that.

Tell me you know nothing about Chinese EVs without saying you know nothing about Chinese EVs.

For 3D games:

  • Xbox Series X controller with added ExtremeRate back paddle kit.

For PC games:

  • og Steam controller

Most of the time I use the Dualsense Edge though, because I rarely use controller on pc and almost never turn on my Xbox.

I play most of my 2d games on purpose built retro handhelds, so there’s no real separate controller to speak of, but I do love pretty much all of them in different ways.

Intercept doesn’t have a paywall, though…

China charges nearly double for its EVs outside of the Chinese market. They tend to do what most companies do, charge the highest price that people will still pay. China domestically is the most competitive market in the world, so they have $10,000 high quality EVs, but they don’t have to do that elsewhere and so they don’t.

I lost my paid sick leave in one of these mandated sick time states, and because I had PTO that was deemed acceptable. I lost dozens of hours worth of paid time off, and now have to make up missed shifts on the weekend or risk getting written up. Oh, and now we can’t request time off without being physically in the building, so even if I wanted to use my limited PTO for sick time, I literally can’t unless I plan ahead my sickness.

Maybe don’t gaslight people and they wouldn’t respond by assuming everything is more gaslighting.

It doesn’t work, and it’s not different than those posts you would see on Facebook back in the day “I don’t give Facebook permission to use my photos.”

Cruise ships are so gross, and so are people who go on them.

No but they’re taking it to repair shops who then find that they can’t recover their customers data because it’s encrypted and then they lose al their photos and data they never backed up, because they’re not tech-savvy.
