God requires his chosen people to act in a different way from others. Judging Israel on a different standard from other countries is antisemitism according to the IHRA, thus God is an antisemite.

I think it shows such a lack of critical thinking. The 40 hour work week law was signed by politicians, so that is the end of the story.

Kind of like looking at the state of monarchies in Europe and going “gee, sure is nice of the monarchs to relinquish executive power of their own accord”. I guess if they had any kind of deeper thinking they wouldn’t be the brand of liberal they are, but they have the analytical ability of a child.

I guess it makes sense that it is so concentrated as peas do really well getting frozen or dried depending on how you want to use them.

Confused why there are no peas in the BeNeLux region though, as the cursed love children of England, France and Germany you’d assume they would grow some peas at least.

Politics is about both teams having fun and doing their best.

If more people unconditionally voted for the lesser evil surely that will push them left instead of continuing to creep to the right. There will be as many Manchins as needed to hinder anything even marginally good happening if they win no matter the margin.

If you’re going to do electoralism you have to understand that your vote is the main bargaining chip. The people who stay home do more to push the democrats left than someone going in to vote blue no matter who. The thing pissing me off by the people who are supposedly on the left constantly telling people that they have to vote is that they don't even understand (or pretend not to) electoral politics.

Lies! He is jet lagged, has a cold, a stutter and CNN changed his voice to make him sound weak sweetie.

It is a lot harder to convince people who have seen and interacted with him in real life of the demonisation that the British press has ran on him since he became Labour leader. He is one of the few MPs that legitimately seems to care about his constituents rather than just seeing them as a means to an end.

Mandelson seething was great to hear. Labour wasted a lot of resources trying to unseat Corbyn. Not that it is a big comfort with 5 more years of Tory rule followed up by an inevitable far right landslide when reform and the conservatives consolidate again. Only reason that Labour won is because the Tories were finally allowed to collapse when the alternative was a continuation of their policies, vote share for Labour was about the same as the 2019 election.

If Joe Biden is where the electoral ‘left’ has led us that is a lost cause. By voting you’re showing that the status quo is acceptable, and it sure as hell is not.

You’re not going to be able to push Biden left when he already has your vote unconditionally. This line of that you have to vote for the centre right candidate this specific election as it is the most important and pivotal one is something that gets deployed every single election. I’ve even seen it with the fucking UK election as it is really important to make sure that the Lib Dems are in opposition instead of the tories for some fucking reason.

How do you even get to this point for fucking Joe Biden. Trump I can understand, he has some charisma and the promise of changing things as odious as he is. But Biden is just a doddering old man (not that he was better before as a loud bigot) that promises to maintain the status quo.

Time to break out the kente cloth liberalism

Hence why it is not entirely disastrous instead of decent or good. You’d think it was one of the all time great speeches given the lib reaction to it though.

Every now and then I go to the Reddit r/all page and they’re gaslighting themselves about Biden simply having a cold. He did a not entirely disastrous speech the day after, so he is clearly the most qualified ever.

That sprinkled in with ‘but Trump would be worse for Palestine’ as if the status quo is acceptable. I swear these libs would vote for Hitler if he went up against someone who wanted to make the Mischling Test more strict.
