Cheers! Night seagoon :)

[–] Baku@aussie.zone 2 points 6 months ago

Ah yep, that makes sense I suppose. Kinda weird though, it's not like Lemmy has an algorithm it can use to learn what posts you don't like. Probably easier to just block the community

I'm not going to post tomorrow's DT, so if anybody else would like to, go for it

Oh, sorry if it came across like that, I'm not threatening myself at all. Or anybody else for that matter. And it isn't a threat. Also not trying to play dumb, or do any "work-is-me bullshit", though perhaps you should take some of your own advice one day. No need to be so aggressive all the time. Relax a little

And I'm not sure if you are actually out or not, but I am. I'm going to watch a movie. Adieu

[–] Baku@aussie.zone 2 points 6 months ago

Yeah, sorry CEO. Thanks for the advice (not sure if it's really advice, but I'm not sure what else to call it. I do appreciate it, though). And it has indeed been a toasty one today

Well, if that's how you feel, I can make sure there won't be a repeat.

Though, I do wonder if you intentionally misunderstood my original comment, again, just for the sake of getting all uppity, as you've done so many times in the past πŸ€”

"so uhh, you gonna eat that bread?"

Or alternatively:

Seriously, I really like maggies

I can still express my opinion on matters. This place isn't just your echo chamber, either. Diverse viewpoints aren't something that needs to be removed, like you seem to think. I'll have my opinions, as you, and everybody else does, too. You don't need to like mine, as I don't need to like yours

[–] Baku@aussie.zone 1 points 6 months ago

Everybody's. Mine included.

Don't know what you expect me to say πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

No need to jump on the defensive again, seagoon. I was answering a question, not attacking your beliefs

I was referring to the contents. Too much America. Fair few down votes around.

Edit: but WTH, why are there two people down voting the DT now??

Today's weather forecast (Melbourne CBD, 3000): min - 18Β°C, max - 32Β°C. 95% chance of no rain

Tomorrow is back down to 22Β°C with 3 days of rain, so make sure to get your washing done today!

Perhaps a bit off topic, but I just learnt that apparently Australia Post accepts requests from landlords/body corporates to have parcel lockers installed (and they can be restricted to just people that live in the building)!

It's also free of charge to the building owner(s)/body corporates, and maintenance/installation/site surveying is all handled and managed by Australia Post.

Obviously, having one of these installed in a private building for residents/workers would be contingent on your landlord and/or owners corporation/body corporates giving a shit, having space, and being willing to install one, but if anybody here has such sway, I'd strongly suggest seeing if you can make it happen.

Parcel lockers are very convenient, and if you aren't home for deliveries that require signatures or can't be left, they'll also often put them inside a parcel locker instead of taking them to a post office

(Yeah, I realise the percentage of people on aussie.zone who own an entire apartment building is probably quite low, but I'd hazard a guess that a few people either own apartments (so can badger the owners corporation), or rent (so can badger the landlord), assuming the LL/OC would care. But since it doesn't require any installation or maintenance costs, and can be restricted to just building residents, so wouldn't raise a security concern, I don't see why anybody would be vehemently opposed to it)
