This war has had so many interesting characters. Red Backpack, Voha, now we have Turtle Tank. I wonder what we'll get next.

Transfeminine hormone therapy aims to achieve estradiol and testosterone levels within the normal female range. Commonly recommended ranges for transfeminine people in the literature are 100 to 200 pg/mL (367–734 pmol/L) for estradiol levels and less than 50 ng/dL (1.7 nmol/L) for testosterone levels (Table). However, higher estradiol levels of more than 200 pg/mL (734 pmol/L) can be useful in transfeminine hormone therapy to help suppress testosterone levels.

PDX has real good public transit and a studio runs about $1000/mo. Like most big cities it's mostly libs surrounded by rural chuds, but there are also lots of commies and anarchists here. It's expensive like most cities, but there are jobs here - a lot of my job is just helping people get employed. Min wage is like $16, but I see lots of entry level jobs closer to the $20 range.

Also maybe the best city in the US to be trans.

But also, I work with so many people who moved here without a plan and ended up homeless, so please do your research.

There have been some great BattleBots posts there. But Robogames really deserves its own. It's got it all - lackluster safety leading to actual injuries (on top of the debris and lipo smoke, apparently someone dropped a 250lb robot on someone's foot in the pits), the event didn't have a proper announcer because the owner didn't want to play fair with the union, big American flag blocking some spectators' views, poorly-communicated schedule, high ticket costs, owner power tripping and banning people...

And knowing the personalities involved makes it interesting. Like, I don't know anyone who dislikes Bunny - she's a very nice lady who has been in the scene for a long time and she and her team are known for their generosity in supporting other teams. The guy who dropped the bot on someone's foot made some real shitty comments and actions toward another well-liked competitor, so he was already on thin ice for some people. The teams involved in the debris-launching, well they are promising rookie and sophomore teams who we're all excited to see play in a safe arena.

And yeah these things are super super dangerous. I build 1lb and 3lb bots and even they could absolutely break bones or cause serious injuries.

Safety is a big big deal in robot combat and this could have huge consequences for the whole heavyweight scene. You need to have an arena that can contain the competitors. And layers of redundancy - here's a fight in the 30lb weight class, where a 40lb bot (long story) broke through the inner wall, but the arena was made to withstand that and remain safe. https://youtu.be/N-CM7XTEOkc

The lady who got hit (beloved member of the community and captain of team Malice, Bunny Sauriol) had decided not to compete this year out of protest of last year's safety issues (a piece of debris broke through the arena, no injuries fortunately) but came to support some friends.

Anyone else follow robot combat and Robogames? Looks like it's another year of serious safety problems... A few competitors got hit by debris, and they had to evacuate the audience when a lipo fire breached containment. Such a disaster.

Edit: holy moly https://imgur.com/a/5FtQTXS

Deworming has been a very slow and painful process. Like I wasn't even early in my transition when I was on /tttt/ and it really fucked with me. Powerful self harm mixed with funny posts, very dangerous.

Anyone have experience with getting a US passport? I have my birth certificate and valid ID, but the names don't match. I had a court-ordered name change in another state, but don't remember exactly when or where and I don't know how to look it up to order a copy. It was well over a decade ago. My birth state makes it very easy to amend birth certificates, but the processing time is lengthy and I haven't needed to do it yet. It's on my list, but can I get a passport without waiting on that?
