You know that seems very much a possibility. I used to work in toxicology in a hospital setting and did these sorts of work up. And I've seen some crazy shit with that. Here I was thinking they were being cheap and trying to reuse a certain type of connection device. But there's no way that such a single use device would last for the time period stated. On the other hand if an employee was the source of contamination that would make way more sense.

This is baffling to me because almost all medical equipment is either single use or goes in the autoclave. How did this even go on for as long as it did?
I wish more people were aware of this. One year I made a rather significant number entry error and should have owed a couple thousand more than I paid. I got a fairly routine letter later in the year asking me to correct the error. I had a little mental panic, reran the numbers, and filed an amended return. There was no pressure, you always have payment options, and they send you back another letter confirming the acceptance of the amended file. I understand that many people would have significant problems paying extra unexpectedly but unless you are actively committing fraud you are not an immediate priority for the IRS.
This is wonderful news!
I dare say that anyone working in healthcare knows a coworker who's committed suicide because of the job. I know I do and it still haunts me even though I managed to get out.
I've seen worse looking Bostons. This one looks pretty healthy and happy though if a little bit portly. That being said I do agree that breeding standards need to be corrected.
I just want to say that those are some bitchin book titles. Now I want to read them.
That's a relief because I thought I'd stumbled into LinkedIn Lunatics for a hot second.
This school is being really petty. It's acting, it shouldn't matter what you are or are not so long as you can play the role.
Yea I know. I'm one of those folks without a thyroid so I get the whole deal. Cancer is pretty scary though so we try to stay on top of it.
I really don't understand why this drug is being pushed so hard for anyone who's not diabetic. One of the most serious potential side effects is thyroid cancer. My husband has been on this drug for a few years now (due to insulin resistance) and while it has been game changing for him I still worry about the side effects coming down the road. He has labs drawn annually to make sure nothing sneaks up on him and yes, insurance really doesn't like paying for it.
Absolutely! I save everything when I comes to my money.
