Well that change in lyrics certainly got the point across. 😂

Now this is a quality shit post! Happy New Year and thanks for all the laughs.
American hospitals have been treating visa workers like indentured servants for ages now. I for one am glad that some of these folks are fighting back. The healthcare system needs to quit burning-and-turning all of their staff the way they do before the whole system permanently collapses. I hope they find it harder to pull the wool over the eyes of foreign workers in the future.
Great now I'm going to be dreaming about key lime cheesecake until I can get one again.
Who has money to pay for name brand anything these days. It also doesn't help that their product sucks. Seriously I had to buy a bag of their chicken wings the other week and the product was mostly breadcrumbs and tiny little chicken drumsticks. These companies practice the worst sort of shrinkflation and then act surprised when people stop buying their product.
How was that dentist even able to do all of this work in one sitting? I'm both horrified and strangely impressed. It had to be shitty work.
I come from a family like this and my husband's family did the same. Coincidentally my husband and I also share the same first letter. Our family gatherings can get confusing so most of us have family nicknames.
I just finished Talos Principle 2 and what a ride! I love Turing Test too and would also suggest Spectrum Retreat to scratch that puzzling itch.
American here. I try to remember that other folks outside the US don't have the same negative association we do with that word. It certainly helps ease the stigma I have for it when it's said in good fun in a conversation. I still can't bring myself to say it or write it often though.
My very first big purchase as an "adult" was a nice real leather jacket which I too got on sale. I still have it well over two decades later. I would say though I got an LL Bean coat for an Xmas gift one year and it is by far my favorite coat ever. It's rated for -40 degree weather and built to last. I would have never spent the money on such a thing for myself but having it makes a world of difference to me (I'm very cold sensitive). I will most definitely shell out the money for a replacement when the time comes.
I know it's older but recently I've been listening to Ologies by Allie Ward. She explores all the different types of science, she's funny, and she finds people who are really passionate about their field of work.
I had no idea they were doing this but it doesn't much surprise me. My PS4 will be my last Sony purchase because honestly the system gets progressively worse with every update. I can no longer navigate between screens or in apps without experiencing massive lag. I understand it's not supposed to last forever but the damn thing is near unusable at this point whereas my PS2 is still running.
