I believe the term is "airship" (blimps have no frame/internal structure). Can we toss the Nazis out of them instead?

He's really leaning into the villain trope. So many sci-fi villains claim that empathy and/or compassion are weaknesses. Their lack of it is usually their undoing.

Good to see we're pivoting away from US contracts. Too unreliable with Trump and Musk at the helm.

As entertaining as this is, I am concerned that it downplays the very serious threat Trump and his cronies pose simply because they aren't particularly intelligent.

My concern here is whether anyone is actually going to stand up to him. He's clearly flagging that he's going to go after these people and it's going to be dependent on whether the DOJ actually pushes back or not.

A well-written article and worth the read.

Probably the main thing I disagree with him about is the economic aspect and that's only because it's Trump we're talking about - I'm not sure the economic costs will actually stop Trump doing something as stupid as trying to take Canada, Greenland or Panama by force.

Precisely what I am doing. Too many devices that still do what I need simply to ditch just because Windows 10 is EOL. I'm a bit over half-way in my migration (still have a few programs to sort out - may have to run a W10 VM for a couple of them as they don't work under WINE and there is no Linux equivalent).

I'm not sure how you'd describe Australia's distributors, since we're a small market to begin with. Locally ViaVision/Imprint are more likely to have things that interest me, but seeing as a lot of Imprint's masters are sourced from other distributors the quality can be all over the place. AID has been building up steam of late, filling in some gaps where we missed a local release. Umbrella and Madman are the other main ones I can think of, but I have very few of their releases.

Internationally, I have sourced things from Indicator (UK), Plaion (Germany) and Elephant Films (France), often as they are the only way to get a Region B release.

This is unhinged. I hope it doesn't pass.

The question now is whether Trump and his cronies are going to obey the judge's restraining order or take immediate action.

Or so that he can control other countries' trade. He would be the gatekeeper unless ships wanted to take the long route around the Americas.
