I think what they meant is that it was once a pre-built computer.

I believe the swapping was done in order to show what could be done to improve its efficiency; how much you'd be missing out on.
Their results were that they doesn't decrease power usage by much and that even one of the cheapest modifications makes little financial sense under quite ideal conditions (German energy prices).

Anti-cheat as a concept is fine but invasive client-side anti cheat just aren't it.

for a somewhat decent price.

Well, that's the thing: With the additional cost of games, it's not really more affordable. You cannot use the hardware for anything but expensive games.

With just 5 games, that's already $100 more than the same games on PC would have cost.
Depending on how many games you're going to buy, you could spend hundreds more on the PC's hardware and it'd still be cheaper overall.

Gegen den Preis hab ich ja nicht mal was, aber ich will nicht Google's clients verwenden.

Gebt mir einen API key wenn ich bezahle und ich bin sofort dabei.

Do California's laws not allow you to sue for such violations?

In the EU the company has 30 days to comply and af they don't, you can sue for damages IIRC.

So basically a macerator on your sink crushing garbage to go down the sewage pipe?

What an astonishingly terrible idea.

This one, however, is built right into the protocol.

If all that mattered was being on the same network, it doesn't matter whether that's WiFi or Ethernet. Frames got switched between those.

WiFi Direct uses, as the same implies, a direct P2P network between the two devices without a third network device in between.
That would indeed not work if the device has no WiFi adapter.
You may perhaps be able to remedy that using a USB WiFi adapter supported by the mainline Linux kernel version running on your device.

Have you tried it though? I'm pretty sure Miracast works over the network too.

Try adjusting the display size and text setting

That's the thing, that's it.

Firefox (Gecko), Chromium (Blink) and Safari (Webkit) are the only serious browser engines left.

Every other remotely relevant browser is just a rehash of these and it's usually from really shady for-profit companies such as Opera or Brave.
