I’ll miss some of the stuff

Perhaps that in itself isn't too bad; take it as a sort of detox.

I believe (and somewhat hope) that the n% of users leaving over this are mostly prosumers, leaving Reddit with mostly consumers. The, say, 5% of users leaving might be the ones who create >70% of the quality content the consumers browse Reddit for.

Given that Reddit relies on prosumers like them for 100% of its value, that would be a huge blow.

The idea is to muddy the waters; allowing advertisers to buy ad space for their shit in the context of subreddits like that to seem more legitimate. Pretty disgusting IMO.

Reddit.com is more than just the people running it.

Good. EVs are a bit better than ICEVs but they're still cars. Huge, dirty, terrible for the environment, noisy and dangerous for just about any other traffic participant; especially w.r.t. mass.

We need to get them out of our cities and create viable alternatives.

I got tired of doing everything manually

Perhaps check out NixOS

I tried NixOS for a bit but it was very inconvenient in comparison and I felt like it was impossible to tinker with or understand if you weren’t good at Haskell.

You don't need any haskell knowledge to configure a NixOS system. It's mostly just researching the right options and setting the desired values. Pretty simple. For more advanced stuff like custom modules, functional programming experience helps a lot but that's not necessary for installing packages and enabling services.

Documentation isn't great but what it does have going for it is that it's right in the place where you configure it: In the NixOS options. Wanna configure systemd-boot? Just search for it: https://search.nixos.org/options?channel=23.05&size=50&sort=relevance&type=packages&query=systemd-boot
It's self-documenting.

Honestly, Edge.

It's the least evil Chromium fork outside of purist ones.
