Yeah you know what? I've had enough of fundies, I'll leave that thought there.

Long time Fedi user, first time Lemmy user here.
Defederation is one of the reasons society is so fractured now. We can't talk to our enemies, so we can't bring them round with compassion and logic. We just cut them out and they spiral into a more hateful and extreme version of themselves.
Obligatory post:
Retractable fountain pens. I could never afford one though.
- She's a democrat. that means 42% of the population automatically hate her.
- She's grossly inappropriate and cackles at exactly the wrong time, and that creeps people out.
- She was a "tough on weed" prosecutor who became a bleeding heart liberal overnight when she got her new job. That makes her seem disingenuous.
Just what I've picked up from other people, I have no feelings about her whatsoever.

It's exactly the way it was, but with higher version numbers for all the software!
Which is how I like it if I'm going to be honest. All the other distros are too clever. They overwrite your config files or put them in dumb places. With Slackware, I know where everything is and it just works.
The binary package manager is simple but effective, even if it doesn't have dependency management. That can be a bit of a pain, but it's a small one.
The latest release is brilliant.
