I don't care about boot time. I switch her on and then go and grab a coffee, by the time I'm done she's finished booting.

Yeah that was shithaus. They should have just apologised and explained that it would be on the new gen hardware, and could have avoided all that.

Really good question, and it's one of several potential problems with Libertarianism.

So, at face value, you're right - you do. But then, you can also form organisations within your community to do the same. So then your whole village or street enforces the NAP.

Besides which, it's not really about other people, it's about you.

I won't hurt you or nick your stuff.

I don't need fear porn in my life.

I'd say they'll become niche. I don't think it will go away though.

I will always use fountain pens and paper until I die, and I think there are enough people out there who will do the same to keep a much reduced industry going.

I'm a good old fashioned NAP following libertarian/anarchist.

I don't really care about the left or right paradigm - what I care about is how badly you and your cronies are going to buttfuck us.

Thinks... Well, one side generally annoy me more than the other side.

I can generally be around right wingers longer than left wingers and traditionally the right have been more tolerant of libertarians like myself, so I guess maybe.

Because it wouldn't run on older hardware.

You're barely scratching the surface, but you're kind of on the right track.

Search for the "OSR Primer" with your favourite search engine, it explains it better than I can.
