This is literally happening. Without getting too specific so her job stays safe, my sister works as an ocean researcher for the government. They removed any mention of the word “diversity” and “biodiversity” from their research and so far, they haven’t lost their jobs yet.

Way back when, I had a Palm Pixie, which ran WebOS. While it wasn’t FOSS, if you turned on developer mode, you would have full terminal access to the Linux system it was running.

I think HP eventually made it open source and now LG uses it for their TVs. But that phone’s OS was one of the best ones I had seen at the time.

He has a Canadian citizenship. Please don’t send him here. We don’t want him either.

You don’t need to hate yourself or your body to be transgender. If you think you’d be happier living as a woman, then you might be. When you feel happy about dressing or presenting as your true self, we call that gender euphoria, and it can sometimes be a more powerful feeling than dysphoria.

I don’t have a BambuLab printer, but the printers I have owned have done that when the nozzle is clogged, when over extruding or when the print bed is too close to the nozzle.

Basically, something is preventing the plastic from extruding out and the extruder motor is slipping.

I understand the weight issue, but what good does making all e-bikes illegal do to prevent people using already illegal e-bikes? If the issue is people illegally modifying their bikes, then that should be what is enforced, not making things illegal for those following the rules.

Most of the trails in the city I live in have a 20 km/h speed limit. I tend to see a lot more regular bikes exceeding that than I do e-bikes. But regardless of type of bike, they should both be stopped for going too fast.

A dipole doesn’t have a ground plane like some other antennas. A dipole is a balanced antenna and both sides work off of each other equally.

With that said, this one is probably used for receiving and if one end is connected to the electrical ground (different thing from antenna ground plane) then it’s going to be the left side with the uninsulated wire most likely.

I think some of the biggest complaints about Vista were its poor driver support and over-active UAC. You couldn’t hardly do anything on the computer without UAC bugging you for permission when Vista first came out.

Windows 2000 sold as both a server OS and a workstation OS, but there was no home edition of 2000. There was also no professional version of Me. It would probably be more accurate to say there were two separate paths of evolution that converged with XP.

NT -> 2000 -> XP
98 -> ME -> XP

Though, XP is built off of the NT kernel, so you could also argue that the 9X line ended with ME.

It’s also the way they make cheap LED headlights. The reflectors that direct the beam of light in your headlights expects the filament of the bulb to be in a very specific spot, but LED headlights often have a much wider area where the light emits from than the little filament that traditional headlights do. So when installed in cars that aren’t designed for LEDs, the beam pattern can be off and make the light shine at people instead of down toward the road.

Yeah, maybe someone can explain to me how this isn’t a vehicle at this point. Sure, it’s smaller, but having a 1000 pound vehicle using bike paths and multi-use paths seems dangerous. This feels like someone trying to pass off a small car as a bike in order to circumvent safety standards more than being a real form of micro mobility.

Looks like they are using it to warm the screen adhesive so they can remove the screen and repair the phone.
