To remember it better you need to understand basic fr*nch writing, in french to make the sound "oo" like in "food" you write "ou" and whenever you want to make a "ge" as in "George" sound before the voyels "a-o-u" you put an "e" between them because otherwise it becomes a "g" as in gay... Instead of just using j for some reason... Another thing is that in french the letters "oi" together make a "wa" sound, last thing is that almost everytime the last few consonant of the word is not pronounced, so bourgeois sounds like boorjwa, the "ie" thing idk about it and idc about it, it's probably like a "bourgeoism" if it was english.
