All will be rust!
Artisian
Oh that's cool! If you find the source please do share (or post it again! This is good news).
From the article, the 40% with falling wages are not the ones I expected. Custodians, grocers, and service sector are in the top 50% it seems, their wages are doing well vs inflation. It's surgeons and programmers who are seeing wages drop.
So it's kinda a weird headline. From the article, this sounds like the labor gains I would want to see.
A bunch more of this advertising started on my area after the local city council started considering making their own public option for power.
Coming back to this, what I should be surprised by is the relatively large portions of people getting news 'across the isle'. My prior was that this was substantially worse, with single digit percent of people getting any actual news at all.
I was under the impression that FOX has now bought many small local news stations in no-where-ville, which did (and, I assume, continue to do) perfectly competent local reporting. Am I crazy?
They just also run nonsense on the side; the 'mandatory' coverage. Was there a late-show about this a few years back?
If you have a venmo or other money-transfer method, consider cash.
While a thoughtful gift is nice, cash is flexible. Enough small gifts, and one can flee home...
With no particular authority (or endorsement), just what I've used:
Something I'm grateful for.
An update on a (usually work related) project I care about.
A cool program I learned about recently.
A policy that really would make life better.
What a particular emotion feels like to me, where it happens, and an image that fits it (use a list of emotions from somewhere).
What I spent the most time on that day, and how I think my relationship with it is.
A haiku (or 3) about something that happened today.
Game design ideas
Just put a relatively tech unaware friend on mint. They're doing very well so far!
I thought many of these were in the "Shadow docket" (or emergency docket), which is not new and is usually not given justifications/opinions. I understand these are traditionally cases where the legal question just isn't interesting (or expedient to flesh out). The court doesn't hide this practice, you can read about it here: Related news service
This isn't to say the court is acting normally. But I want to complicate this observation; one should compare with other presidents and issues.
My data plan on my phone expired rather suddenly (my phone was too old), and I just didn't get a new phone number/data plan (wifi + wifi calling still worked).
It was nice having unplugged transit time.
I'd spend much of it selling them on Linux (mint is really not bad to use/install these days), libreoffice, lemmy (for the upvotes), Signal, Matrix, Jellyfin, and some of the amazing free phone games.
Let people know there are alternatives. So they migrate comfortably the next time a garbage product comes out, and are willing to look+donate when a new thing comes out that could/should be free as in freedom.
Security is mostly theatre, and the average person probably isn't under much threat even doing everything wrong. But slightly more informed as a consumer and user could really make a positive impact on their lives + those around them.
