I've been a Linux user nearly exclusively) for over 20 years, I still keep an iPad and a windows desktop around for government stuff because the their apps and websites don't work on my hardened systems (sus) or through TOR (less sus).
That's a white elephant gift.

I don't mean to be all "Bethesda slop good" but the story they're telling (outside the main quest) is pretty spot on regarding rampant racism and nationalism tearing apart a country already at the behest of a small cabal of criminals. Vampires living on a private island want to extinct the earth so they can hunt free for a couple years just spells it out even clearer.
The big one is that I need her to respect me as an adult. The parenting stopped when I was 13 and picked back up again after my first marriage 8 years ago and the relationship has been tense since then.
As long as she can accept that I've grown and blossomed into a fully fledged adult and treat me as such, I'm happy. I just don't want all my life choices questioned by someone who can't physically see the material conditions I'm in to lead to such choices (we have about 2000 miles between us).
While travel there is inadvisable, I'm sure you could find a place to live in "The Zone of Death", a 50 squsre Mile section of Yellowstone National Park that is between jurisdiction for states and is largely unpatrolled. Travel there is highly inadvisable because of you get hurt, you're not gonna get found, and you're probably gonna end up prey or starve to death.
Additionally, crimes are nearly impossible to try if committed in the area due to requirement of a jury trial. It is impossible in the area to establish a jury of residents, as the area is uninhabited.
