A Møøse once bit my sister ...

No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink".

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...

Thank you :) I didn't realize it was literally a script to install requirements!

Update: This is awesome. To get it working I had to install some python3 dependencies since I'd recently upgraded my box. If the main DeGourou.py script isn't running, try installing these:

$ pip3 install lxml pycryptodome cryptography charset_normalizer

(EDIT: just read requirements.txt it gives the above and some other dependencies. Duh.)

Then download, while logged into archive.org, your borrowed book (download link should be "URLLink.acsm"; then run

$ python3 ./DeGourou.py -f /tmp/URLLink.acsm

... and the PDF with its proper filename will be saved into the curret directory.

Whoa, if this works it'll greatly ease my saving of rare books.. without having to reboot into Windoze to use the Adobe eBook crap and Calibre just to save an unencrypted version. Thanks!

Forgive me if I seem naieve, I'm not a hardcore 'offroad' biker but I like to think I go through some questionable forest paths and outright rough it a bit following little paths without proper consideration, trying to take the odd 'shortcut' .. I have ended up barrelling through blackberry-overgrown paths and other narrow sections, even taking some strong branches into my wheels before I could react to the terrain, but I've never broken a spoke, ever. What the heck are you doing?! :) Sounds fun!

I can't name specific solutions off the top of my head as I haven't done it in a while, but Yes. There are many live distros that offer an optional 'overlayFS' (I think that's the right term) which reserves some of your portable drive's storage for persistent changes to apply over the base live FS.

Combine that with git and/or NextCloud or an SSH file mount or three and you could probably come up with a complete mobile setup that also has quick access to whatever home server infrastructure you need. 128GB or 256GB USB sticks are pretty cheap now which is plenty for a spacious install. Or even a small USB SSD.

What book is this? (I need to read Chapter 9, being a Simple Child myself :p )

Hmm. I wonder if Florida is going to be taken to court for violating international treaties then? Immigrants from the affected states could apply for an international driving permit for extra protection?

Nextcloud -- you can share links to files you store on your own server.

If you don't have a persistent server and/or don't want to go to the trouble of hosting your own 'cloud', you could try 'Magic Wormhole' to share files as well.

For Windows, try one of these: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=windows+magic+wormhole+client&t=vivaldi&ia=web

On Android there's a client called 'Wormhole William' -- unsure of the iOS equivalents but I'm sure they exist.
