But… it is a software patch?

I’ve been seeing posts like this for a while recently, where the sentence is valid, but super confusing. I honestly wonder if it’s some AI writing issues, or too many places have fired their editors for AI.
I believe it could be rephrased as “the RATE of perspective buyer blackouts are increasing” maybe meaning once people look harder at the numbers they start feeling unhappy with the deal.
That’s the joke to the meme. Don’t think it requires much discussion. I would hope people would look at this and know it’s satirical/obviously abusive.

Ah, a fellow owner of a ‘yeah, I don’t like him too, but not that way’ feeling.
I thought it was benzos, but it’s been so long since I’ve thought of this sham, so I might be off.
This always confuses me as to why we are still using energy usage busywork like AI and blockchain right now. Even if we get 100% renewable we still need to be efficient to reduce impact on our world, and put that into other important things. And we are definitely not in a position to be wasting away energy right now.
Not the original poster, but my experience was fairly smooth. I had minor issues with wifi drivers, and I got a new GPU that had some driver issues because it was pretty recently released (I guess the open source drivers didn’t have time to be updated?). In terms of actual gaming, basically no issues. I mainly use steam and proton has been bliss, I’ve bought multiple games without even checking compatibility, and it just works. To my knowledge there is only one old game where the multiplayer doesn’t work, but everything else has been seamless. Mint cinnamon is what I’m currently running.
One of my favourites from my childhood, but I haven’t played it in a while so I’m not sure if it’s nostalgia talking.
Ah, fair. I have mixed up two different articles, one from technology@lemmy.world. That article clarified a little more that this ‘recall’ is still just a software update with a scary name. It’s just updating the hood sensor to alert if it detects the hood is not fitted. Is it negligible that they aren’t doing a physical fix? Oh hell yeah, but they’re still just pushing it to software.
They really should not be calling these ‘recalls’
