I told my wife to not buy me a ps5, since I didn’t see any games I wanted. She did so anyway. I have yet to buy a single ps5 game, still working through all the ps4 stuff. I’ll buy a handle of ps5 games when ps6 is probably out. I’ve told her to NOT buy me a ps6 in the future, but she’ll probably ignore that as well.

Looks like the export didn’t finish rendering before it uploaded.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t take 30yrs to open.

Wish we’d know more about the setup, especially if Link will indeed not be the main driver of this. Wondering if it will be more time travel shenanigans, like sending Link back in time into the contract body at the end of the trailer.

I honestly think Kang would have been a much better villain used here. Especially since Kang is descended from the Richards. It would have created a very interesting conundrum in that Kang can’t kill Reed, Sue or Franklin without killing himself, and Reed figuring it out towards the end of the movie and using that to defeat him. It would still have set up the “Kang will return” aspect of it, without leap of Antman having taken down one of the smartest people alive.

Edit: Miss remembered the family lineage, they are related, but not direct.(It seems to flip flop around) So he could still kill them. I still think he would have been better used here for the family aspects.

It’s a habit that I think sparked from Reddit exodus and people wanting to remove traces of themselves.

I know some people disagree, but it feels like walking into someone’s library and just setting books on fire. You’re destroying some posterity and the goal of place like Lenny where we want to gather people and information.

Instead of going scorched Earth, we should treat this as a public place where what you say is out of your control once you have said it. We should be practicing mindfulness in how we use the internet, like we used to back in the day.

The common practice on Reddit used to be creating throwaway accounts (some still do that here) to ask those more personal questions, but I think more and more people are just destroying accounts all together every few months.

It’s a less of an issue on the communities where people are asking for personal advice that is very bespoke to the person (even though that advice could in theory help others in the future) and more of an issue in the communities where knowledge is being shared.

I think the larger hurdle on Lemmy will be the fact that there will always be many clashing ideologies and people will never agree on the way people should be living their lives.

Same! I usually watch the first one once a year, but I try to get the fully trilogy in.

It was a visual splendor and I loved all the actors and roles, but I left wondering if Galactus was a good choice as a first villain.

I’d say the only really new dynamic we got here was adding a child into the mix. Curious to see where this goes since they went with literally their biggest villain off the bat.

I don’t think you can really get away from the tropes when you pick twins, given their situation. There’s plenty of “evil twin cases” as well in media. If anything I would assumed twins not getting along would be more prominent. I’ve started to see some instances where twins exist in a medium, and they are just there and not the main focus as well.

As for lore breaking, I think the show breaking their lore would be fine. Having a third show that follows the rules strictly would get boring. For the franchise to work it would have to keep evolving and growing. We already had Korra break and restart the avatar cycle, so no one can connect directly with the lives before her anymore.

I’m surprised they are able to use the Avatar name again. They had to drop it for Korra due to James Cameron.

I was also hoping the show would have dual avatars as the twins, each with two elements. It would solve some of the story roadblocks of them having to find reasons why they can’t just go into the avatar state all the time. Would have been cool if the avatar state only worked when both of them are next to each other.

That second website is horrible on a phone.

From what I’ve found, if we’re going by population, then Jacksonville, Florida seems to be the largest red city.

Would have been great to have a way to transfer data. I was post game in Death’s Door and then they closed the door on me.
