The doctor in voyager is holographic, he says much the same about being amazing. :) The sickbay in voyager is equipped with holo emitters, and he’s an emergency medical hologram who outgrows his programming much like Data.

But his matrix is too large for the ship to manage multiple copies of his program, or something.. or maybe just the sickbay computers.. either way, they could probably easily generate drones to do specific tasks with high precision. Also has the perk of choosing his own density, so they use him for security threats a lot. Also can’t get sick.

Tho he does have interpersonal relationships with his crew mates and thus drama, so that’s not actually a point in hologram favor ;)

Why? The ‘adults’ clearly aren’t doing shit.

And gen z has the most to lose if shit continues heading downhill..

Last I played years ago I think you could have 10? And that was per server, there were tons of servers to choose from, so if you wanted more, you could.

Yeah I wish it was common in actual grocery stores. I haven’t seen that yet either, sadly.

But kwik trip/kwik star has it, and those are all over in the states they have stores. And since they have their own distribution network and brands, I’d be kinda surprised if they didn’t have it in a particular location.

There’s bagged milk in a lot of the US as well.

I’ve been using it for decades (Midwest).

(If you knew, carry on, 😊, I see this a lot when bagged milk comes up and I’m never sure which is joking and which are actually unaware, but it’s so normal to me I find that just weird)

He was messing with his own core programming though, adding subroutines from holodeck characters to his own, rather than really doing cool things with the holodeck itself.

The holonovel episode of voyager would be a better example, imho, of using the holodeck for something interesting. It wasn’t even really intentional, but then it was implied that became a big intentional thing after.

Only if you’re short, else you must look down for boobies.

Kinda is tho since you want a bunch of people to do basically unpaid work just so your experience can be a bit better.

6 months savings is still at risk tho.

If you don’t find a new job within 6 months, then what?

I have literally 3 years worth of minimum living savings, but that isn’t actually a lot of money and I only have it because I live well below my means because I’ve spent my whole life in poverty.

I’m not owner class even tho I can go 3 years without working. Because eventually I do need more income to survive. Owners don’t. They can use passive income and never ever have to work again. That’s the difference.

Idk about theirs, but my silicone bits are removable. You take them off before you wash them.

Hey thanks, I appreciate the reply!

I think I’ll go for actual Debian, like you say the support is invaluable. Maybe someday I’ll try a different….. idk what to call it, core, framework (fedora/arch/whatever)? Like proton or whatever runs steam deck.

But for now it’s been long enough since I used it I’d rather stick with what I kinda know, so this is very helpful!
