I think it’s this, but frosted with female social policing. So more misogyny.

What I mean is that femininity, at least in modern history, has been massively scrutinized. Pants? Working? Sports? No makeup? Short hair? No curves? Small breasts? Not reproducing? Not feminine enough!

So women are already under a microscope for how they look and act, and it’s a “natural extension” of it to accuse those who don’t fit the ideal even slightly of being trans, now that it’s a commonly-known thing. After all, if you aren’t feminine enough to be a woman in their limited view of what that means, what could you possibly be in their binary minds other than a man?

I’ve been personally caught up by this despite being afab, looking very feminine (long hair, feminine face, etc), and being well below the male height average (5’2, or a whopping 7 inches below male average), just because I have a deep voice, no curves, don’t hold my tongue, and don’t wear makeup.

Of course, just like how they know the law better than cops and judges and whomever else, they also know better than spell check/autocorrect.

They are, in fact, never wrong for any reason.

The police very much care, and want to be able to encrypt all their traffic.

It’s open for public transparency, mostly.

But that’s not what would happen because the people who can’t afford to live there are mostly the people who make society function.

You can’t have a working city without the people at the bottom. So what you are proposing is that the city should collapse.

Rather than, you know… just making sure people can afford to live there instead..

So wait, is anyone supposed to be left there other than the few well off people who can already afford it comfortably??

How do you expect that not to immediately collapse?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the RealID thing, which puts a star on your drivers license after you verify some info.

It’s used for domestic flying but not strictly required until 2025. Still a very common thing for people to get when they are renewing - the act for it was passed in 2005 and when I went to get an address change around 2013 it was offered to me but I didn’t have proof of address and had a valid passport so declined.

I misunderstood this very much until I read your other comment and realized the guys name is John Hurt.

Thought you were saying it was a painful performance or mis-cast or something :p

My past self is judging me, too.

I know this because I’m already judging my future self for things I know I will or will not do.

But meh, it is what it is.

I’m totally down to be in Canadian occupied territory, as long as they bring their healthcare and bagged milk stays. I’ll even start to say “eh?”. I already apologize too much and like hockey, so.. how bad could it be, eh?

If I can pay a single reasonable fee and have access to literally everything, I do.

If I could do that without having to go through the effort of finding everything myself, I would absolutely pay for that. I used to stream because it was better. I can’t afford that now though, and not everything is even available.

Oh, heh, my bad. There’s a lot of people who don’t seem to watch/like voyager, so wasn’t sure if you’d seen it. Very convincing. 10/10.
