Aww I’m super glad to hear it improved your day, and you’ll be able to find it again in the future!

I get the same reaction to it, I think it’s the use of flat melancholic notes scattered throughout, such as in the refrain “I’d like to make myself believe, that planet earth turns slowly”. For me anyway. I love that sort of upbeat but sorrowful sort of thing. It gives me intense frisson (aka aesthetic shiver, aka that chill down your spine when something hits just right).

The sound of silence covered by Pentatonix also gives me mad frisson every time I hear it. And for the same reason I think.

Someone just jelly of my amazing taste in nearly-20-year-old music, probably 😊

Those low points are interesting. I wonder what causes them.

For the one around Xmas, I assume it’s to do with hospitals not being open so anything scheduled, like induced labor or c-section, would be delayed around it.. same with new years. And I guess 4th of July? But if that’s the cause, why not the other federal holidays?

(I’m assuming this is US data just by the negative spike in July and the habit of births being scheduled and induced)

Pretty sure that line is a reference to this. One of my fave songs :)

Having spent way too long playing rimworld I’m pretty sure that’s a kitchen and cold storage space. The white thing on the exterior wall is the cooler, the middle room is the kitchen counter, the outer room that connects to the hall is a dining area.

The lack of doors direct from the cooler out is intentional because your people will cut through there if there’s a door and you’ll struggle to maintain temps and cleanliness, so your people are more likely to get sick.

Higher here, by quite a bit.

This is really cool news!

I really hope they someday also figure out ways to gene therapy tinnitus away. Lizard genes for my sound hairs to make them regrow would be sweet.

I’ve tried really hard, and sampled many brands, but other than soy in lattes sometimes, I can’t stand plant based milk in my coffee. Some of it is fine stuff for other uses, or even just drinking, but it just doesn’t come close to the flavor I like as part of my wake up routine. And if my coffee isn’t good it sours my whole day, just a bit.

I’d love to have something that tastes like milk and feels like milk and does the job of milk, but is vegan.

Speaking of succubi, I really liked how that was handled in the book “if I pay thee not in gold”, which isn’t the best pro-feminist work, despite being actually written by a woman and centering around a matriarchal society, or even book, by far, but does include the whole idea that

Tap for spoilera succubus, upon fucking a woman as a man, turns into a woman the following morning, and when turned into a woman, sex with a man would return the male form.

It was a real eye opener for my teen self, to see not only gender fluidity, but a happy non-monogamous relationship resulting.

I’m ace/aro so the sexy nature is lost on me but the story itself is good. tho… very superficial.. they could have done so much more with the way that universe works; it’s genuinely a fascinating concept that I’d love to see explored in more depth.

Still it’s not a long read and worth the effort :)

I’m so much more into the visible hand puppetry. I find that fascinating.

The song is good, but the video style choices are very interesting :)

Unlike in real life, this bee is going home to accolades.

I am looking for a plug-in for media requests from users.

My users suck, and won’t tell me if I’m missing stuff they want, or my copies are bad (with a few very helpful exceptions) so I’m looking for some sort of integration that like tells me what they are looking for, or makes it easy for them to ping me a suggestion to add/fix. I don’t watch most of my library, so this is a big concern.

Most of my users don’t know my number or email because they are my partner’s friends and I don’t use the email address my server is tied to, for security (nor are messages usually passed to me on the rare occasion they are sent to him). So “have them text you” isn’t really a good option, and it’s enough of a struggle to get them to use it in the first place that adding another standalone app isn’t going to do it either.

Preferably I would like something my end users don’t have to do anything to access, maybe a few button presses in their search interface? Like “search returns no results, request this content” as a button maybe?

Does anything like that exist?

She’s one of a pair, but easier to photograph 😻
