How many times does God need to tell us that gender reveal parties have to stop before we listen?

Many disabled people are unable to drink without straws.

On social media, many people have responded to claims that people with disabilities need plastic straws by asking what people did before plastic straws were invented. "They aspirated liquid in their lungs, developed pneumonia and died," says Shaun Bickley, co-chair of the Seattle Commission for People with DisAbilities, a volunteer organization that's supposed to advise the city council or agencies on disabilities issues.

Fwiw, it is absolutely possible to save your whole family in Papers Please. First time players aren't necessarily expected to manage it, though, so you're not wrong about losing family members being the intended experience. It's definitely a game that tries to be "engaging" rather than " fun". I enjoyed it a lot back in college, but who knows how I'd feel now that I have a full-time job.

But Hall emphasized that these forms of care are—contrary to misinformation spread by the state’s lawyers—not only scientifically proven to be safe and effective, they are also essentially identical to forms of medical care offered to cisgender (non-trans) young people. For example, puberty blockers, which temporarily halt the advance of adolescence, are commonly prescribed to young cisgender girls undergoing “precocious” puberty. These same drugs also allow trans kids to make more deliberate choices about their bodies as they age into adulthood.

The reason that this law exists is to hurt children, not protect them.

Yeah, get them! Take the corporations for everything they're worth!

I was hoping the cyberpunk dystopia would at least be cooler to live in.

There's a similar issue with chocolate. The major chocolate brands were sued over heavy metal levels in their products a while back and had to agree to set upper limits, but it's still a concern.

This is good to see, but I don't think it's anything groundbreaking. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that the way to cure poverty is to give people money, the problem is that the rich and powerful don't want to do that, so it doesn't happen.

There are some real disgusting people here. Anyone who thinks that the solution to climate change is to kill a lot of humans should consider going first.

The lawsuit is cool and all, but one of the other articles in my feed is that one billion people are expected to die due to climate change over the next century, and this idiot wants to increase oil and coal production.

When does that ever happen?
