Yes. Germany for example requires a proper age verification with id, but since stores don't want to implement that, they just block these games. At least GoG lets you buy them through a VPN. Steam is much more thorough and won't let you buy them if the account has German payment info or a German address linked to it. You can create a second account with vpn and buy the games on that account using gift cards, but you can't gift the games to your main account.

the myth that all gays are ultra horny and promiscuous all the time.

I don't think any reasonable person believes that, but i'm sure the amount of gay men who are horny, promiscuous and aren't flooded with offers is a lot higher than the amount of straight women who are horny, promiscuous and not flooded by offers.

And how many people will actually see it? when he releases a video, i get it on my feed. but i have never seen a text post from any of the creators i've subscribed to.

A petition I don't think will do much.

This isn't just any regular change.org petition, that can be ignored. It's an official partition based on EU rules, where EU parliament is forced by law to listen to the initiators and talk about the topic, when it passes.

I think he's talking about all the other shows and movies on the platform, that he doesn't watch

firstly, in the comic, none of the streaming service has the movie, so a site telling him this doesn't change that point.

second, even if one streaming service has that movie, it might not be the one you are subscribed to. so instead of "just watch"ing, you have to make a new subscription on that service and pay for all their content although you just want one movie

thirdly, often it's not a matter of whether or not someone wants to pay, but how much someone is willing to pay. This depends on many factors, which boil down to how much they want to watch the movie and how much they can afford. imo there are two acceptable ways to charge for entertainment: paying once for that particular piece and you get to enjoy it as often/long as you want forever, or you pay a monthly fee and get access to everything for as long as you pay. unfortunately, thanks to the fragmentation of streaming services, option b has become quite expensive and not a lot of people are not willing to spend that much, but they would be willing for a lower price.

That may be true, but that wasn't the point he tried to make. The problem is that netflix used to have everything at a good monthly price and once they dominated the market, enshittification and price hike started, plus all the other companies wanted in on the action, starting their own service.

Now MS is trying to do the same to the PC gaming market.

Not out of the box, AFAIK, but there is a plugin. I never got it to work though, because you also need some up-to-date certification file.

How has no one mentioned the tetris theme? Dum dada dum dada dum dada dum dada dum di da da da

Not sure if this is true, but i've been told, when you flush food down the drain or toilet, rats living in the sewer might come looking where that delicious meal came from.

Also many young people are so used to games requiring online connection and being shut down, that they can't imagine a better way.
