I could only do that section, unfortunately. It’s definitely on the list to go north and walk the Flinders Ranges part, though.

It’s the first part of a 1200km route called the Heysen Trail. Here’s the website.

Arsenal supporter, journalist Philippe Auclair, is part of the website/publication Josimar Football,.

It is "the world’s only media platform devoted solely to investigative football journalism." The writers are a "collective of award-winning journalists from all corners of the world who report on the darker side of the most popular sport on the planet."

They are asking for assistance to keep the lights on. Auclair writes about this here.

I saw a photo of Marquinhos holding up a Cruzeiro shirt…I believe it's permanent.

Having been out in the sticks with patchy phone reception for a week, I have now been able to watch the whole match and have caught up on a lot of the followup content. Even though I knew the result etc. watching the play made me nervous! Also, even though I'm not really one to weep at the drop of a hat, I did well up a couple of times!

I spent last night in a tent with no signal and have just seen the result. I’m really happy!!!!!

It’s hard to decide who I would rather lose the Europa League. Probably Spuds but it’s close.

I wouldn’t want him to be sold unless it was a very significant transfer fee

Thanks! I enjoyed that.

I couldn't believe that there's only been one MBV track posted here, so here's another from the seminal album, Loveless.

Having noticed Sprints a little while back, and also enjoying their subsequent album, it's good to see and hear this KEXP set.

Great to see a good looking, HD version of this video.

I was minded to look it up today, after ordering a vinyl copy of a re-issue of The Sundays' debut album. The album that Goodbye is from came out a couple of years later and I still remember hearing it as the lead single and being completely floored by its sound; the guitars, lyrics, chord structure and that voice.

Hi Alternative Nation, it's been a while. Here's my latest Japanese Shoegaze discovery via Testcard Records (who are worth checking out). I know zero about this band!

I mentioned Miles Hunt in my previous She Makes War post. So I want to post a Wonder Stuff song.

Don't have time to write that much about this, so here is their Wikipedia page.

I first got intro'd to the music of Laura Kidd AKA She Makes War, Penfriend and Obey Robots in about 2010. I didn't really take enough time to really listen to her stuff properly, so didn't get very engaged with her work.

I just started to give it another go and I have to say, her work is pretty terrific. There's lots of musical variation across her different releases and personas. This song is pretty straight up indie rock, but there's also electronic and folk elements on certain songs, as well. Some nice collabs with people like Tanya Donelly and Miles Hunt, too. If you dig deep enough, you can even find the club bangers and punk rock she was involved with in the 2000's.

This band is based in Bristol in the UK. They sound a lot like The Velvet Underground, so they also sound like Luna/Galaxie 500 and all the other VU influenced bands. There's also hints of Cowboy Junkies and Wilco on some songs and a little bit of Belle and Sebastian. Their discography is worth a listen, and they have a new album out right now, too.
