A heavenly example of the indiest, schmindiest, jangle-pop from the ~~Glasgow~~ Greenock sister act. Album forthcoming on Skep Wax and Slumberland.

A nice slice of jangly indie rock from this band from Melbourne, AU. I like their sound.

So, everyone is now going to tie themselves up in knots about "player tiers" are we? Sigh.

I didn’t watch the game, so it’s good to get a good summary from Adrian. He picked Zubimendi as best player, closely followed by White and Nelson.

Man, Sporting can really go and fuck themselves at this point.

Yep. I joined the AWFCSC a few years ago. There is a membership joining window every year.

There seems to be no end to the pool of Japanese indie/alternative/punk/dreampop/shoegaze that the internet serves up to me. This trio are bass-less and rough and ready in a fun way.

LOL. I am on the AWFC Supporter Club Whatsapp group and an early candidate for her song is to the tune of Gina G's ""Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit".

Ooh aah, it's Olivia

Gunners to the rescue

The second song released as a teaser for their fourth album, Straight Line Was A Lie. Here is the video.

Also, today's article in The Guardian.

If you like Alvvays, as I do, then you might be into the sound of Sydney band, Bridge Dog. I'll be keeping an eye on their tour dates.

Here's a live performance of the lead track on the album, Counterweight.

The Bats - Lucky Day [2025] (thebats.bandcamp.com)

Jangly Kiwi veterans continue their 40+ year career with 2 tracks released from an October 2025 album, on the legendary Flying Nun records. They're are one of my all-time favourites.

Here is the video for the track released today, Lucky Day.

The other track, Loline was released with this video in April.

I've pretty much not listened to Wolf Alice at all until just recently. Having dipped my toe into the water now, there's a few songs of theirs I like, including this one. I'll keep exploring their catalogue.

Lots of detail. I haven’t read the whole thing yet but have seen some of his recent Bluesky posts on the subject.
