If Justin Fields was comfortable gunning it downfield like all the great QBs in the league do, he’d tell Getsy fuck your screen passes. Fact that he doesn’t audible out of those shows he has no confidence in himself reading a defense and throwing it downfield, and I’ve had enough of this shit.

The tone in this sub will drastically change if Fields has a couple shitty games in the final 6. I still don’t believe we’d be able to get a quality head coach is he’s gonna be forced to inherit Fields. MHJr. will not mask inconsistent QB play. He won’t stop Fields from having to run the ball 15+ times a game for him to be successful. We NEED to draft the best QB on the board, and if that’s Williams at #1, then so be it. I’d rather we trade down with our own pick, secure a 2nd round pick and draft Nabers/Coleman. Not to mention what we can get back in a Fields trade, if it’s a 2nd as well then we can potentially have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.
No. Either Fields stays and we draft other positions, or he’s traded and we draft Williams. I’ve said this before and I’m sticking to my prediction that Fields will be traded for a 2nd round pick and Poles will draft Williams. Hate me all you want Fields truthers, but this is what is gonna happen unless for some miraculous reason the Panthers win 3-4 games to drop out of the top 5. But if things stand as they currently are, #1 isn’t being traded again, it will be Williams.
There are no what ifs. Poles’ mind has been made. He’s trading Fields for a 2nd and drafting Caleb Williams if the Bears have #1 overall. That’s why he traded the Bears 2nd for Sweat, because he’s probably certain he’s getting one back for Fields. Bottom line is, he’s not trading the 1st pick this time with an elite prospect sitting there. This is just what’s gonna happen. Save my reply.
Justin Fields is either too pussy to call audibles or just doesn’t have the QB IQ to do it. Either way, MHJr. isn’t gonna improve his inability to read defenses and make anticipation throws.
