Not to defend Germany on such an action but any siding with Palestine will immediately be picked up as anti-Semitism. They'll just get called Nazis by the Israeli government. It is not rational, but I don't think the Israeli government is!

Well it certainly processes them to make it easier for you. Except PTSD, that takes ages.

They are private networks for a reason. VPNs in China are not subject to Chinese laws because they are often run outside of China. To prevent people from using VPNs 'according to the law' will essentially involve not having VPNs altogether, which a lot of companies rely on.

And yes, they crack down on VPNs in China but they're always around. +1 billion people have quite a few million of very intelligent people who use a VPN.

VPNs aren't blocked, so it's pretty much a non-issue for me.

A thousand years in the future could be a utopia.

A 10 storey gash and sprinklers not turning on tends to create those conditions for collapse 🙃

[–] Admetus@sopuli.xyz 9 points 6 days ago

The whole conspiracy theory centering around Building 7 completely neglected that the sprinklers simply weren't able to be turned on, or work with any pressure, and that the building design was enabling the fire to reach stupidly high temperatures.

They evacuated the area when the building started BULGING and a column was shifting out of it's socket.

Perfectly consistent with loss of strength in the beams.

This is probably in part a meritocracy, though how the government defines 'merit' is probably quite subjective.

Humans are all too human. A purely statistical vote such as proportional representation is most likely the most scientific method regardless of what government is elected. If a civilisation must fall through its own vices and fallacy (oh hey, we've been there before!), then let's allow the collective consciousness of our fellow human beings work it out.

Ever...so...fucking...slowly.

To be fair, the AUR is 'use at your own risk' and you can see who is maintaining the package, and the packages they maintain. Some of these maintainers maintain 20+ packages.

When using sudo yay it recommends not using sudo. It seems I had two different outcomes from using sudo and then from not using it. Having used it, what effect does this have?
