What's this "sharing" thing you're talking about. I've never heard that word....

If we paint all conservatives with the same brush, we alienate the few (or maybe not as few as we think) to never consider something different.

You're preaching to the choir on that point. In fact I got positively roasted a while back for saying essentially the same thing.

The only thing I would say is that I was referring specifically to voters themselves; those conservative leaning non-voters that may not see themselves in the current republican party.

Incidentally, its a belief that was validated by the addition of Tim Walz to the ticket since that's exactly what his presence is meant to do.

But once those conservatives identify as not just conservatives, but as republicans, there is very little hope in changing their mind unless they're already predisposed to having it changed.

So yes you’re right, however no you’re wrong

Well now you just sound like my ex-wife about literally everything I ever said in our marriage....

Motorola without a doubt. One of the few companies that still believe that a high end phone doesn't need to cost 2000 dollars.

This feels like the correct answer.

Motorola and a couple others feel like at least they haven't jumped on the "let's charge them whatever the hell we can get away with" train. They're still relatively inexpensive and are essentially just as capable and nice as the Samsungs and the Apples of the world. Hell, I get far more comments on my Motorola Edge 2023 with it's textured faux leather back than others get with the latest Sammy or Apple identical square.

It feels like these smaller producers are able to take a few more risks in design.

Doing anything except eating it directly out of the tub just seems like the worst possible study in delayed gratification. I don't have time for bowls, or cones. When I want my ice cream, I want it now.

a sound wave exists without a listener. But sound isn't a sound wave. Sound is what occurs after the brain processes it in what's called Auditory Transduction.

The high road only works when your opponent as a sense of shame and the capacity to self-reflect, even a little bit.

MAGA has neither. The few republicans that still do, the few who are still the adults in the room, have already pledged for Harris. Any of them who haven't by now are lost causes addicted to Trumps tit milk.

You think Trump likes his women being able to read?

A sound wave isn't sound. When a sound wave hits an eardrum and vibrates, it goes through what's called auditory transduction that converts it to a signal that we recognise as sound. Without that transduction process, you're not actually hearing anything at all. Hence, the sound as we know it, is created by the receiver, not the source.

https://www.osmosis.org/learn/Auditory_transduction_and_pathways

Think of it like a radio. A radio isn't some dude on the other end yelling into a hollow tube. Someone at one end speaks into a mic. His sound waves vibrate a membrane in a microphone that converts that to electrical impulses, which are then sent to the other end where they are picked up by a receiver, which then uses them to vibrate another membrane (your radio speaker) which then sends out a pressure wave (or sound wave if you prefer) for our ear to pick up.

Without the process of auditory transduction, it's not technically sound. It's just called a sound wave because that's what it gets converted to on the receiving end.

I will gladly die on this hill.

It's my favourite battle. And when the war against AI comes, it'll be because the AI will make a final decision and then decide the other side needs to be ultimately defeated.
