  • File system access being locked down unless you're rooted. I basically makes using some retro emulators impossible because in some cases the emulator installs the ROMs into the data partition which the launcher can't access.
  • The inevitable forcing of Google/Apple's fucking A.I into every aspect of my phone. I can only opt out for so long before it's just baked into the OS itself with no way to disable it. If I want to ask an AI a question, or to double check my code for errors, I'll go to a website and ask it. I don't need/want it doing shit proactively all the time.

Can't do it. Gotta poop at home. Thankfully I'm in a small community where getting home and back again is quick enough to not be missed.

No one is saying that "now he's a good guy".

Quite the opposite from what I've seen. They've been all saying "If Dick Cheney...one of the most divisive republicans of modern times, says that Trump is a threat...we should probably fucking listen."

It's like The Joker teaming up with Batman because even HE thinks The Riddler is "a bit much"

Most food has a Julien Code to tell you when it was manufactured/packaged.

I think I read somewhere, but I'd have to go track it down, that the ISS was catching up on a whole lot of back-logged experiments with their unexpected addition to the team.

People are (rightfully) raking Starliner and Boeing for the shitshow that has been this project so far. But the positive to take from this flight, even landing without the crew, is the fact that the capsule itself performed fine. It was the service module that was being screwy. The actual "capsule" part in "capsule" seems to have had it's issues ironed out. Just fix the shitty service module.

Yeah. Oliver really is a "Welcome to the hell that is our reality" type of show. But his gimmicks and his absolute love of spending HBO's money on random crap is still crazy entertaining to me.

Same here. I only watch Seth on YouTube, and sometimes Colbert. About the only thing I'll go out of my way to watch in it's entirety is Jon Oliver; which is a whole different beast entirely.

Incidentally, I love Seth and John's bro-mance. They seem to really get along whenever John is on Seth's show.

I'm pretty sure Seth is entirely aware of where his bread is buttered. I recall him joking about it in the past. As much as I'm loathe to admit it, short digestible clips are the way things are right now.

I think Quibi's only problem wasn't the length of it's shows, but it's assertion that their content should be vertical because people watch on their phones; without stopping to realise that auto-rotate is a thing....

Time for Canada to start building a wall...

I thought it was a Canadian company that then contracted out right-wing American personalities.

I remember thinking when I heard it that it's probably the smartest thing Russia could have done; sneak in the back door by using the Canadians as a go-between.
