Jail time isn’t primarily meant as revenge or punishment, but more as the time required to revisit the mistakes you did and to make you again a functional member of society.

Dear Americans;

This is what happens when your prisons don't rely on private profit motives to operate.

I know, I'm just really lazy!

I like Noto Sans. But as a Linux user it often irks me too, since every....single...language...is included in most distributions; so half of my time finding a nice font that I just installed consists of scrolling past a bajillion Noto variants.

Gawd, bad Keming is the worst!!!

The entire system is designed to make the second part of that statement uniquely difficult.

Billionaires don't stay billionaires by letting other people join their club.

"In exchange for making me rich, I grant you the privilege of having enough money to pay your bills and maybe go to disneyland once in a while."

That's not a return on your effort for your own benefit; it's quite literally serfdom with extra steps. "You harvest me 1,000 acres and I'll let you keep two acres to take care of your family."

Because "Work" is just effort for some stranger's benefit; a CEO or Corporation. Whereas the result of effort enriches you and/or the people you love.

I have a weird obsession with fonts. I love a good, well designed font. How it looks on the screen, how it looks in print. Nothing too gaudy or showy, but a really good League Spartan or Lato Light. (Not a fan of serifs)

Other than that, normal stuff; 3D modelling, writing, etc...

My other interest that might fall "outside the norm" is that in University, if I had continued beyond my bachelors my primary focus would have been studying the Bronze Age Collapse, and that topic still fascinates me to this day.

Edit: Oh...and spreadsheets. There's no problem in the world that can't be fixed with a well designed spreadsheet. All problems come down to data sorting.

You're vastly underestimating how much the rest of the world likes us far more than them.

America would be immediately gang raped economically by literally every nation on earth if they tried to Ukraine us.

Plus a number of them would be happy to deploy troops as well.

Maybe use those arms for more than just finger-wagging.

If that's the tack he wants to take with his argument, than in fact that opposite is true.

They're a business. You provide them money and they provide a service. So in that respect, there should be no such thing as denial of service for ANYTHING because you've already paid for it.

So look...as a sometime writer, I'm all for using 12 words when 5 will do sometimes.

But this entire article is just a dozen paragraphs to say "Elder Scrolls doesn't isn't different enough from other fantasy series to standout, unlike Fallout, which was a fresh world on television."
