A woman that vile doesn't deserve tits that fine. Doctor should have told her to fuck off when she ordered them.

No we don't.

One of the fundamental strengths of a federated approach is that I can, with no muss or fuss, see only my local instance.

I understand where you're coming from, but you're presuming that most instances are simply clones of each other, and that's not true. (or at least that's not how it's designed to be).

For example, my home instance is mstdn.ca. Ostensibly, with a single button, I can focus my entire Lemmy experience on things important to me as a Canadian without wasting through everyone else's bullshit. Canadian news. Canadian politics. Canadian hobbies, etc...

You're idea presumes that all instances are trying to carry the exact same content, which is false.

So in other words, what you're saying is that the Nebraska governor has an extremely small penis and is very very insecure about that fact.

I actually really miss the old IMDB forums from before Amazon bought the site and killed them. I love film, and it was great to have specific forums for every movie or actor.

And how exactly do you think they do that....

As soon as I learned she was played by the actress who played the three boobed stripper in Total Recall, there was no forgetting Ensign Sonya Gomez

Because they've grown up online...

For corporations trying to control our online lives, the ability to think critically is the absolute last attribute they want their users to have.

And so not only is the experience designed to appeal to the dumbest of the dumb, it's algorithms are designed to keep them dumb so that they can have them chasing the next tiktok trend, buying everything they them to, and, in the case of politics, directing their collective naivete at your own perceived enemies.

An army of mindless zombies who don't give a shit about anything except the latest social media content to consume is a powerful tool to be used.

At best, they can be mustered to your "cause" with a few bullshit viral posts, and at worst, they're too busy staring at their phones to notice you're fucking over their futures. Win Win.

For some reason, no Motorola phone I've ever owned has played nice with Android Auto over the cable for me.

It's a known issue, but I've not been able to make any of the random fixes floating around actually work. Multiple phones in multiple vehicles using multiple cables. The only common factor is Motorola. Which is a shame because other than that, Moto has been a solid mid-range choice for me all these years.

In my experience, it's the Montreal way.

I believe that's called an "invasion".
