There are loads of variants of chess like this. There's a similar variant to this called Horde chess where white has no pieces but 36 pawns instead, and black has a normal setup. But there are some quite fun/whacky variants on e.g. www.chess.com/variants.

We've been counting down to this for years now and we're finally on the other side of coal power. Great! 🥳

Update: it produced its last energy on 30th Sept and now the uk is officially coal-free :D
