I don't think it's a hot take, people just clowned on it because Kamala's delivery, as always, was goofy as hell.
I got the impression they were saying Rick was intended to be read that way, which is what I disagree with but 
The stuff in the first post is almost certainly a joke.
That was marketing by cereal companies.
I disagree with the author's assertion that Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty is coded-Autistic. In his place I propose 
as a character readable as autistic.

I just watched the Twin Peaks behind the scenes cast interviews and Don S Davis seems really cool. He was a stuntman, a talented artist, and generally just Like That™
Like he barely had to act.
Not to mention all the support industries for personal cars. Auto parts stores, mechanics, tire shops, car washes.
