I appreciate the sentiment but in context it felt more like an interruption of focus paired with an expectation that I respect that interruption and respond immediately.
Plug-in hybrids are really good! You can likely do 90% of your driving electrically and still have a long range when you need it, and they're cheaper than full EVs.
I had someone message me on teams "Hi Abracadaniel" then just waited for me to stop what I was doing & respond before sending their actual message.
