Reddit is dead?
The sad reality is that during the reddit blackout, people were pushing lemmy (specifically Beehaw) as the reddit replacement because yay decentralized, federated, fun!
For a lot of those reddit refugees the effort they put into making content and trying to make Beehaw their home is gone now.
They're not going to want to start all over at a new instance and rebuild yet again.
They're just going to go back to reddit
This 404s from Kbin. I thought I'd be able to see other federated content?
Found out I'm really fucking good with Databases and SQL after failing my coding courses when I wanted to be a programmer. 15 years later I'm still going strong with a good career with Databases.
I'd love to be able to make my own API for a personal project and design a front-end for it but no matter how hard I try I can't get my head around the software dev side of things
Any good ones still around?
You can also use the "hamburger" button to the left of the kbin logo when viewing a thread to access all the subscription options.
Yeah the mobile interface needs a little work
I'll admit I can't wrap my head around how many of this works.
I like kbin and the default content it provides for the most part... But I want to branch out a bit.
I know there's a formula 1 community I want to join on lemmy, do I need to sign up for Lemmy now? And do I need to sign up for multiple "instances" whatever those are?
I'm pretty tech savvy but the fediverse makes me feel stupid, i have to assume this could be a barrier to entry for some
HAHHAA NERD!
I love you though.
