Which kinds did you have in mind? Some that occur to me have far too brief interactions (or times to interact) to invite those opportunities.

Not sure what these wires are either, but the frayed ones seem like possibly electrical. Do you have a multimeter to help check?

Also replying here to let ya know the image is showing now.

Can you imagine crimes of the wilderness?

The pre-seed stage startup is backed by angel investors and NYC accelerator Wolf, which Openvibe attended last year.

Openvibe is available as a free app on iOS and Android, but plans to experiment with a desktop version. The app will later introduce a subscription plan to generate revenue.

Have any services like this managed to develop a sustainable business model, especially after taking on investment?

Rewatching Venture Bros. in order after only having seen it on tv years ago aired out of order makes a massive difference, too. I didn't realize how many episodes I'd seen were really from earlier seasons.

Does Bluesky? Have they been running marketing? Much of what I've seen/heard of it has been more a result of Twitter imploding and people bringing up alternatives than any concerted marketing pushes.

edited for clarity, realized I'd overlooked Threads mention

Isn't this sort of a reframing of curiosity, or other basic characteristics of an active mind, such as receptivity? Mental adaptability may also fit neatly here.

I haven’t paid interest in over a decade and have made thousands from rewards.

I'm not too familiar with credit cards, do you mean this in a literal money sense or something more complex, i.e. the value of rewards & money?

There's some cold humor to this if one's an anxious sort over applications. Toss'em about fretting over things, then get awkwardly relieved over no responses, least for a moment till you remember you could really use a damned response

Been running into mostly silence as well, so I know what it's like

Have you seen the !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world community? This would be a good post there as well, I think!

Sorry. This is why I included the bonus question:

what does it mean to be too online anymore?

This wasn't included in jest but in recognition that for many now there isn't any too online, it's simply the means of socializing, among other things.

Never tried one before, are they any trickier to learn to ride than an analogue unicycle?

Filling meals always seem tricky to me, healthy or otherwise, so I'm always on the lookout for more things to try.

I mean, sure, you can always not talk about or suggest them, but so much of what you're dealing with day to day is probably from some big business. Also I am aware of the concept of universal basic income, but I've not really seen it framed/discussed from this sort of perspective, which imo at least is morbidly funnier.

At any rate, capitalists made this market where time's money and ya always gotta be hustling, so if they think they're owed free word o' mouth, well, who's all entitled then, eh?

I'm sure it depends on the AI tools and features being used, but with all the "magic" obfuscation from companies surrounding them, it's not exactly clear how much of the processing is happening locally over remotely.

With some of the text stuff, I'm relatively sure most of that involves data exchange to work, but for some of the image/video editing and audio processing? That's where things get much murkier, at least to me, and where this question is largely stemming from.

I'm aware more processors are specifically being made to support these features, so it seems like there are efforts to make more of this happen locally, on one's own devices, but...What's the present situation look like?

Do you think it works okay, at least so far as local/federated communities go? What are some adjustments you might like to see to it?

Personally, I still find the dropdown/search combination somewhat unintuitive and at times it can feel clunky, although it has definitely improved. I sort of think a regular search bar to filter through communities/posters might be better, with a separate dropdown beneath or next to the bar, so one knows one can directly search by community/username, but I can see why it was done the way it was to a degree.

This will vary from place to place, but I'm curious what some may be that you think may be generally overlooked, or would be interested in knowing how to get involved with.

It's something that's struck me over and over as I've read through historical accounts of progressive movements, that despite their being ostensibly more collectivist compared to some conservative hyper-individualism...They struggle to hold together and coordinate to accomplish their goals. In some instances it's interference or sabotage from outside, but as often it can be found from within as well.

What are some of the contributing factors here, and how might they be addressed to better accomplish progressive aims?

Also how would one come to recognize reality's irrationality anyway? By which I should clarify, when I say reality I mean the whole of existence, beyond everyday society which is a mush of reason, emotion, and ambiguous causation. In turn, when I'm talking about irrationality, I don't mean emotionality or ambiguous causation, but an absence of any underlying reason or cause.

If at some point we reached out and dug deep enough into study of existence only to find that some things simply happen or emerge without any cause whatsoever...What might be the response?

For reference Brick Builder is a channel built around timelapse videos of putting together Lego sets. Sometimes I like to kick back and watch these and other timelapse videos of people drawing, building, etc. so I'm wondering what some other similar channels might be.

Doesn't have to be Lego-building or model-building btw, drawing, sculpting, 3D modeling, anything creative/crafty sped up a little is the idea here!

I know you can visit some theme parks at certain times of year to avoid many children, however what I mean are theme parks built more for imaginative and fun-loving adults.

Take some of the park rides you might find in family theme parks that appeal to both adults and children, but instead of avoiding elements that may confuse/frighten children, they're allowed to get more detailed or whatever may be more fun for people. Fwiw I'm aware of some smaller scale themed venues (particularly some horror-related ones), but I feel like I'm blanking on any obvious larger scale ones.

By corporate culture I mean like what you see with Google~YouTube/Meta~Facebook/etc. to accommodate advertisers and influence people to engage and acknowledge adverts. In turn, by adapt/adjust I mean how some people bleep curses out like fuck/shit/etc., say unalive instead of commit suicide/kill oneself, and make notorious video thumbnails that supposedly work to drive up views.

I realize this is a very broad question, so to help I'll mention that my primary experience with any programming language is Python. I've looked into C and C++ as well, but I haven't written much in them; in part because they're more involved, and in part because I get lost in the IDE weeds with'em (whether choosing an IDE or getting it configured to even get started tbh, but that's mostly a different topic).

In Python I know there's an option in Tkinter, and I've worked with it to some extent but never got entirely comfortable with it. Maybe it would be best to try making some more stuff with it instead of bouncing around different things, but would that be advisable over something that may be better suited to the task?

If it would be better to stick with it, what might be some things you wish you'd known starting out with GUI programming (whether particular to Python or generally applicable)?
