Anyone know what this small big friend is?

Comments like this make asking these questions so worth it. That's such a cool thing to know is happening somewhere!

Err, has something changed or isn't Radio Free Asia still a somewhat questionable source?

[–] ALostInquirer@lemm.ee 3 points 3 months ago

But did they caw back?

Just be aware that you might as well make up your own rituals because they’re just as successful as stuff in any of the books, and a lot less expensive.

Sweet, so 1. it's all summoning, and 2. blowing bubbles while making silly sounds to summon is a valid ritual for bringing on the good vibes.

Cruising on a boat, spot a shark fin, "Hey pal want a tow?" Or if the boat has some kinda bay, "Flop aboard for a ride sharko!"

Personally, and it might end me one day, but almost any kinda lizard I think I'd welcome in.

Also sometimes groundhogs look like they might like a brief lift to another patch of dirt to dig around in, or I dunno, maybe a brief snack run.

[...] why would anyone even want it when it won’t even federate with anyone [...]

Federation isn't always seen as a positive (see: discussions linked on fedibridge complaining, without realizing it sometimes, of certain instances' people) for those aware of it, and for many more it's just not even a factor they consider.

But also bleh about the search, wasn't aware of that.

Things in the broadest of senses, stories/books/movies/shows/games/etc., technologies, jobs, whatever you tend to keep on the lookout for.

Do you think it's strictly a lack of users, or that the current userbase may have a rather narrow set of interests?

Given it's open source, others could self-host their own variants of it if they'd like a non-federated alternative to Reddit.

I know the fun answers (and choose to believe them a little), but what was the real (cover) story?

Haven't used Twitch in awhile and was surprised when trying to follow a channel only to see a phone verification prompt.

Thanks for the heads up! I've not played paintball so I didn't know what kinda paint the standard stuff was using, and was mostly thinking about a way to minimize any clean up involved.

Kinda contrary to some of the fun of the game, but everyone likes to play differently.

Thanks for the link, and clear paint didn't occur to me, so that may be a good option too!

A paintball gun is basically a mini-liquid-balloon launcher, isn't it?

As to why, less mess more or less.

Or do the pellets(?) not hurt too much?

I'm often close enough to my PC while playing games that wireless seems a little unneeded, but more than that, I just want fewer batteries to manage.

Adjusted title to mention preference for no batteries.

Thinking about the fun "become ungovernable" memes, and how "become unmarketable" would potentially be even more fitting in corporate dominated societies.
