I found that they ask for my name, phone number, and address.

Are all of these required fields?

Keeping it simple with files and folders is one of the aspects of Zim that I appreciate. When I take the time to use it it helps prevent me from scattering text files all over the place.

Has this been your experience?

I think !no_stupid_questions@programming.dev may still be having some issues? From programming.dev it seems to infinitely load, but when clicking a link to visit from another instance, or refreshing the page, it shows an error of, "couldnt_find_community".

Have you tried throwing stuff at your human while playing to teach them to throw, not take?

That disconnect in expectations is definitely what I had in mind in asking this, yeah. One hears game, thinks fun, it doesn't fit their idea of fun, and the game unintentionally disappoints in the process.

Or like some exhibits in a museum, but also media like Flower. It's called a video game, but I feel like that's for lack of a better term more than anything. It's lovely whatever you may call it.

I knew I forgot something, sorry...I'm asking in terms of crafted, interactive activities that aren't necessarily aiming to be fun. More like a little dry but still interesting and thought-provoking.

I'm asking about before anyone has subscribed to remote instances' stuff, how do they find the remote instances' stuff to begin with? Sorry, having trouble finding a clearer way to ask this without getting in the weeds

[–] ALostInquirer@lemm.ee 6 points 7 months ago

yeah, but you gave me an even better idea: fake eggs filled with even more dampening material! it would be eggstravagant!

is this how you start a polyamorous relationship?

While sometimes logs aren't too difficult to follow, there's also often times they're inscrutable to those not in the weeds of their respective OS. So I was wondering if anyone around here might have some pointers to guides or the like for where to find, and help understanding, different system error logs.

On Windows there's Event Viewer to some extent, and on Linux I think it's typically /var/log (and some distros may have a GUI System Log Viewer?). Not sure of MacOS.

Thanks in advance for any replies with pointers to resources!

Not really from a privacy concern, that's simply a bonus, more of a reliability/convenience interest. Even if internet/mobile internet is out for some reason, being able to easily text across local network would be nice.

For Windows/Android mainly, but crossplatform tools that include those are great too!

The [International] tag is meant to be broadly inclusive, for those wondering, as I'm interested in this subject from all nationalities/continents. I'm guessing the methods may be somewhat similar, but never know how they might be better elsewhere till you ask!

As you can find in the link, Robot Carnival is an older animated anthology movie from 1987 with a similar scifi focus. It's by no means the same beyond that though, but still a good watch if you're a fan of scifi animation.

Also it's pretty easy to find somewhere to watch it for free across different streaming services, e.g. Retrocrush, Tubi, Freevee, Roku Channel, etc.
