Sounding a little "just one drop" there, freundchen.

I had a .world account but I can't type in my normal accent there so I moved to my current one.

I don't sound noble but I feel much happier.

Wheel size will give you a smaller effectibe ratio (less distance travelled for every full rotation of the wheel). For the Brompton this is great for getting moving faster but the overall speed will be lower Vs an equivalent 700c wheel.

The gearing is going to be similar to other 'mobility' cycles - but in my experience the gear ratios are probably more for smoothing out hills and bumps over generating speed efficiently but I can't say that's their intention.

If you want an easier access bike there are loads of better lowstep options that won't cost you Brompton money and are easier and cheaper to repair.

I would hesitate to recommend a Brompton for anything other than urban mobility where space is at a premium. I say this as an enthusiast.

They ride nicely but they take a little getting used to and for some mechanical issues they rely on having a dealer - I've known mechanics turn them away. Not to mention that the frames can and do wear out and the hinges are only designed to wear so much - at a certain point they will recommend a new frame as part of regular maintenance. It'll take a while to get to that point but it will happen eventually.

To be fair their derailleur is weird, but yeah, it's not exactly a huge leap forward in technology.

It reads (to me) like they promised to not use lead shot to avoid a total ban for whatever reason - I don't shoot, so I don't know if there's some benefit to lead over other material for shotgun cartridges which makes it worth dropping noxious materials all over the place.

When it comes to enforcement it's pretty much a pointless cause. You only need to look at the list of "banned" or "restricted" so-called country pursuits and you'll see an equal list of thins5you can spot if you'd go for a short walk a few miles beyond most towns.

A voluntary promise

There's your explanation. If there was a willingness to act, it would have just been banned by the govt.

That's some good praxis

That's how I got into it. Was semi-tutored by a nice random person from /r/chess who took me under their wing (not very well, I'm still shit) but it works so well.

Now my family all use it and we all have a bunch of long format games on the go at any given moment. The only downside is that app notifications aren't always consistent. But the WebApp is great.

Up against this brick wall, pal.

I'd wager that for most western kids no, not at all.

I understand the inflation argument, but what gives crypto any value other than a) a relative value which is based on fiat currency anyway and b) the faith of the userbase in it?
